I loved this movie, but I have one criticism. I wish that Tyler Perry had spent more time developing the character of Captain, then Major Early. Where did she come from, what struggles and battles did she fight to get where she was and so on? Otherwise, let it be known that I’ve watched the movie twice so far and will probably watch it again.

Our women were totally awesome Especially when Kerry Washington played as Major. When she said, " OVER MY DEAD BODY, sir" and meant it, WHEW, that blew me away because I felt it. This is exactly what I would've said. In other words, she was letting her superior know that she worked too hard and she knew her worth. She wasn't backing down regardless.
