Thomas is smart with wit. His brevity hits this flaky idea out of the park. What kind of fool would pay $98 a month for dirty, used clothes. Go to Goodwill for free and buy on their ticket-color schedule. 50% off the ticket price for green price tags on Tuesday. 50% off the ticket price of pants on Saturday. And so on. It's a gamble, to save half off $7 pants. Go figure, debtor class. Borrowing $60,000 for an English Degree seems ridiculous. Which it is. Everything you can get with an English B.A. you can get with a Public H.S. except the Credentials to teach English to others who want to make a bane forthemselvtsrMills thy name is "Dumb as Hell," which connotes not only their stupidity but how their low level of academic achievement got them to that level. You know, Mills, and Zooms, when all the Boomers are gone, out of your lives, at last, you had better brush up on your Mandarin, and Russian, maybe even your Spanish. In my opinion, most public would like a mix of owning and rental. A monthly fee of $98 probably won’t get many lower middle class or middle class people because they won’t spend this much just on clothes on monthly basis. So climate initiative might dampen in this scenario. Long term, it would be nice if we calculate carbon footprint 👣 on individual adult and corporation basis using something like SSN or TIN - this can allow for example ownership and rental mix of things inline with climate initiative goals - items like clothing, jewelry- basically most of items even food that we consume. This information will help not only track carbon footprint 👣 but also will help formulate better practices- lifestyle and market both.
@la7427 Жыл бұрын
I think the narrator is wrong in including the "growing climate conscious population" into part of the driving force of a clothing rental business. They're not the people who would think flying clothes all over the country is helpful to the environment. They would more likely go thrifting.

This whole thing confuses me and other people . . . Making URBN seem thoughtful about the climate crisis? They are fast fashion otherwise. So are they cutting back on how much clothes they release each week? URBN steals from small designers and they were in the top of wage theft in California! They haven’t signed on to the safety accord for garment workers. I’m thinking, and hoping, young people can see through this and realize the parent company who is not transparent about what they’re really doing to help the environment (besides LED lighting and solar panels) and they lack info about their supply chains. There is also no evidence that the company’s workers are paid fair wages. These issues are also incredibly important to young people who demand #WhoMadeMyClothes So, unfortunately whether this is really just another money maker vs they really care, is up in the air. If they really mean well then they would be making changes across the board, not just adding a new way to make money . . . Fast fashion is still fast fashion if they keep making it and now besides selling it they’re making you rent it
