My son collected a couple sets of the State Quarters when they first came out. He also has a jar of them that might be worth looking through. We'll have to look to see what our 2000 SC versions look like with regards to quality and potentially some errors (now that we know what to look for). That 9-strike quarter was amazing. Yeah, how did the mint let those go? The split-clad was cool too.

I read an article last year about the off-center South Carolina quarter that was pretty valuable, but this is the first time I've seen all those errors and missing clad layers. Very cool info on the 2000 quarters. The 9 time struck aluminium is so bizzar that had to be someone messing around. In should never been put into circulation. But it is cool to look at.
