I grew up listening to VOA, BBC, RadioMoscow, Radio Kiev, Radio Habana, HCJB, Deutsche Welle, and dozens of other international SW broadcasters at the end of the Cold War in the 80s.... such a great time to be alive and to be a radio cuckoo too :D

I wonder how many hours I have listened to the VOA when I was younger. Hundreds and hundreds of hours, maybe a thousand. So many memories. Today I am 75. Thanks VOA!

I lived in Mason Ohio, only a short distance from the Bethany site in Ohio. During wwII Hitler called the Bethany site, those Cincinnati Ohio which is only 30 miles to the site. Sadly today it is only a museum of what a powerful shortwave broadcasting site.

The most polished presentation of government normalized propaganda broadcasting to ever be produced. All the little subtleties that they've hidden in this video, that are designed to win over the hearts and minds.
