Perfect for stairs, not only does stairs generate more energy than walking horizontally, but those tiles also cushion the heavy impact saving people's knees especially when walking downstairs.

It's an excellent idea for crowded sidewalks, etc. for large cities like New York, Tokyo, etc. where many of the sidewalks are heavily trafficked. An even better idea would be to modify this design for a heavily travelled roadway and use the kinetic energy of automobiles.

And that energy could also be used to charge some electric cars like Tesla so you can get the energy for your car with your own car...

if that is a thing, and not scam, mass size it, and pay it on the coast line get hammered by waves + tether it to floating tide chaser= awesome energy.

there are also companies trying to make solar roads and pavements, why not combine the two into a single unit?

Instead of walking on it what about if the floor were a dome and if you had a mass ball continuing rolling on it

This rep is clearly a salesman. His auto-responses had all the slow emphasis on particular phrases "Almost on par with solar." Misleading focus while softly adding "during the winter" . Having designed hundreds of solar pv systems on homes I can attest that the summer months provide approx 70% of annual production. Also in the winter north facing panels barely produce at all. Plus that source is constant during daylight. There were no numbers or measurements of kilowatts being produced. He lit an energy efficient LED bulb for about as long as he walked before growing dim. I hope his smooth talking doesn't convince anyone into investing without providing the numbers.

Stupid. Avarage step is 5 Watts, only one person can stand on each tile at most due to avarage space needed for walking people. If you mount 400,000 of those you can match single wind turbine. Even if they cost 20 pounds a piece, which I doubt they do it is cheaper to build a turbine or invest in harvesting electricity from other sources.
