How can anyone, much less the BBC, present this as a both-sides have been at fault? The problems and damage to the people, the environment, etc, all stem from actions upon a sovereign nation by an Invading nation. Which you yourself include in your presentation, but present along with verbiage that makes no sense. Working backwards chronologically: Russia has invaded and occupied, commuted acts of war and war crimes, (mostly targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure) an independent, sovereign nation, full scale war beginning in 2022, annexation and occupation since 2014. Prior to that, there were the pre-1990s invasions, occupations, crimes against (including massive ecological destruction, mass deportations of population, etc) Ukraine (of which Crimea is very much a part, according to internationally recognized boundaries since 1990s) - what in the hell are you talking about in terms of Ukraine presenting its own “narrative/spin”? There are facts, including your own inclusion of the fact that Ukraine has offered and tried to provide water to Crimea since the recent problems brought on by Russia’s latest acts of war since 2014, and Russia has refused, and then, over the same issue, tried to take Ukraine to court for bad acts re: water. You should listen to your own video again. You are presenting many facts, but simultaneous attempting to negate those very facts by using the vocabulary of Russian propaganda. It doesn’t even make sense in the moment, it is so nonsensical, illogical, bizarre - Kafka, Gogol, Orwell would tell you there have you be at least some logically underpinnings to the illogical, or you unravel your threads as you spin them. The narrative here doesn’t even make sense(!) That would be unethical journalism, even on far less existential topics, but to do this about a country that has been invaded and continues to suffer a violent war - what in the hell are you doing?
