How we clean bird seeds 🐥

In this video we'll show you how we clean bird seeds with our flock of budgies!
There are many methods to remove the shells of your birds' food. We are going to show you three different methods, of which we apply two on a daily basis. We will also explain a fourth method that we saw somewhere, which is an automatic seed cleaning system but it doesn't make sense for our food bowls.
These methods were applied to budgie seeds. They might be different for other types of birds. Canary food might be similar but exotic bird food will likely require more experimentation. Just keep trying until you find the system that works best for you :-)

3:00 that's exactly my way of cleaning millet shells..but after it falls in to my eyes sometimes, i prefer wearing eyegalsses and other hand to close my eyes and nose😜😄..Strainer method also effetive one😊👍

Yeah, generally I don't like it that I have to wear glasses, but for cleaning out the bird seeds it's really handy 😋 The shells usually don't go into my eyes. But I do have to thoroughly clean my glasses and face afterwards 😂

Use hair dryer at its lowest setting it’ll blow it all out. Just move it around with hand while doing it. In 15 seconds all the open seeds fly away.

Hi sis! I need your help...Just 2 days ago i bought my 2 budgies...they're sneezing too much....and they are not playful like other budgie..

It's quite normal for budgies to be quiet in a new environment 😊 In a couple of weeks they should be used to their new home and they will start singing and playing more. Sometimes what helps them feel comfortable is to listen to budgies singing in a video. The sneezing seems a bit strange. Sometimes it's because they are in a new place and they just need time to adjust. Our budgies tend to sneeze when seed shells accidentally fall in their nose. They're also very sensitive to dust and drafts, so make sure they are in a clean place and not in direct air flow. It is good to air the room they're in, as long as they're not too close to the flow of air. Maybe they need some extra vitamins or probiotics? You can give fresh foods like carrot greens, different types of lettuce, endive, basil etc. Or you can look for drops you can place in their water. I hope they will start feeling better!

@@_the.budgies_ our budgies generally have it with their millet sprays. Maybe you can carefully wipe the millets with a clean cloth. Although, our budgies seem fine, even when they sneeze occasionally. I think it's ok as long as they are not sneezing all day long 😊

I usually do as well 😊 I don't really like the noise of a vacuum cleaner and sometimes the vacuum cleaner takes more seeds than I want.
