I LOVE Mama Bear Apologetics. We love Louie Giglio's creation-based science devotionals and are currently working through our second one. We also use BJU Press curriculum, including their Bible lessons. For K-2nd grade, we adored the Children's Storybook Bible. We use materials from our church as well. This summer, my son and I are reading through Brave Heroes and Bold Defenders: 50 True Stories of Daring Men of God.

Thank you for sharing about this. Currently, it's a struggle for us. I'm still figuring out how to help my kids engage. Neurodiverse brain styles are a factor for us. Also, idk remember how I first came across your channel, and idk if I knew you were Messianic, but we are too, so I'll be listening more closely and look forward to watching your playlist about high holidays. This year I made a Counting Down of the Omers chart. That was our first attempt to Countdown.

Awesome!! We are Messianic Believer. I am actually speaking at the online Summit, The Rooted Kafe. They are a community of women living the Torah life.

I've slacked in our family devotions so much lately. I've tried various things after dinner: practing memorizing a psalm together, cathechism questions with corresponding readings, reading through the Gospels, reading from VOM monthly and other resources. Some of these activities aren't exactly devotions, I know. Our problems- I have to leave for work immediately after dinner. So it's always a rush to clean up, get ready and leave. But it's the only time we're all home together. Im divorced, so it's just me. My kids are 29, 17 and 6. I homeschool the 6 year old. And he does GREAT during school when we do all our Bible study routines. But he too squirmy and lacks attention at dinner time. My main issue is the 17-year old. He doesn't believe in anything. And the hostility emanating from him at these times is palpable. It's so disheartening. Last year, I brought up the issue with my ex-husband and asked for help. But he poopoo'd my concerns and blew me off. He didn't believe me that our son is an atheist. Why? Because our son doesn't confide in his dad, but instead will lie to him and tell his dad whatever he thinks his dad wants to hear. My ex's stance, "Well he's baptized, so he's fine." 😒 My ex is Catholic. Anyway....sorry for rambling on this comment. I guess I need to vent. To anyone who takes the time to read all this - thank you! P.S. We have "God's Names" by Sarah Michael. I didn't know it was a series. I have to get the others! Thank you for all the recommendations. Your channel has been a true blessing to me.❤

Have you looked at Homeschooling Torah? Would you recommend them?
@LivingWithEve Жыл бұрын
I have looked at it a little bit. From my brief encounter with it, I was not impressed. It also seemed to draw a more Hebrew Roots crowd. They tend to be a little more works focused. However, I can’t really give you a full review since I have never used the curriculum. Most of it is from a quick flip through, I listened to some of her teachings and I looked over community.

Hi Leilani! We go to a Messianic Synagogue as well! We live in NJ but attend shul in NY State. I'd love to know where you're located and also would I be able to access your devotions from Synagogue? I'm sure I'd love it. You "speak my language" !!!!. Love all your videos especially the Messianic ones!

Look at BJU, Chistian Light Education, Sonlight, and My Father's World. There are many more too. But that can get you started.

Do you know of an online source, probably videos were they could learn about the weekly torah portion/ Messianic perspective?

I think Messianic Congregations have the Torah portions for the week on their websites. At least the closest congregation near us does.

I like Torah Resource, FFOZ also has some resources. For Woman there is an online community the goes through the Torah and Torah live called The Rooted Cafe. Seeking Scriptures is another one.
