I live in NC and do mobile grooming in a converted enclosed trailer. My issue has always been burning through water pumps. At the moment I have just switched from a 1/2hp shallow well cast iron pump to a sump pump. The sump pump would work if I could get decent water pressure. At this point I have over $2000 in water pumps alone if not more. I am at a loss has what to try next..... I have groomed in 15 degree weather as well has 120 degree weather, but the water pump issue is about to kill me or at the very least make me go insane. I have a 125 gallon tank on the back of my pick up which is my only source of water on some jobs. I groom 5lb dogs as and cats as well as 155lb Newfies/Huskies/Great Pyrenees Saint Bernards ect....so good water pressure is a must. Any suggestions!!!!!

What worked in the end? Are you still grooming?

@@aleshascott3211 SEAFLO 110V 3.3 GPM 45 PSI Water Diaphragm Pressure Pump has been working great. I wish it had a little more pressure but with a adjustable water hose head it has been working better than expected. I have pex pipe running from the water tank to a inlet on the side of the trailer. The water pump is mounted on the inside of the trailer wall. I have thought about switching the pump to be right beside the water tank, but in freezing weather I would have the same issue I was having with the shallow well pump. I have a 11 gallon water heater for hot water. I am considering a gas tankless water heater when my current one dies, but that means carrying propane on board and honestly I just don't know if I want to get into that can of worms...lol Mobile grooming is not for the faint of heart and is not for someone who doesn't like dealing with things breaking regularly. Lol I will say I think a trailer is the way to go depending on if you are in the city or not. My truck has been in and out of the shop a lot the past couple of years. When that happens I rent a uhaul pick up truck and am still able to work. Having everything including the water tank in/on the trailer would be awesome, but at the moment that is not possible with my current trailers weight limit. So moving the water tank can be a pain in the ass.
