How We Entertain Our Toddler At Home, Our Disney Art & Tim Loves The Exercise Bike! | Home Vlog

In today's vlog we hang out at home! We just got back from our Disney's Art of Animation staycation and take some time to just relax at home. We start the day with some sticker book fun. Jackson got a sticker scavenger hunt from EPCOT on our trip and we found out just how much he likes stickers so we got him a Finding Nemo sticker activity book. He made some awesome art! Then we color and play hide and seek before dinner! Then we show our Disney art, we've been getting a few questions about it so we wanted to show some of the pieces in this vlog. Tim shows you the exercise bike and talks about his routine. Then we call it night with a little tv watching. Thank you for hanging out with us at home tonight! Oh sweet Tim, that is not how the toddler bed works 😂😂😂 They go in when they start climbing out of the crib. A baby gate on his room door will keep him contained until you can get to him when he wakes up. Be ready for lots of nights of putting him back to bed a million times!

Something that’s helped my little buddy with stickers (because he constantly ripped them and got upset that they were broken), I found out a trick from a blog. They pull the outlines of the stickers...or the non-sticker part of the sheet...it’s hard to explain. Just pulling the sticky sheet and leaving the stickers on the backing. That tip has saved me from an upset bud.

Jenn - look into Colorforms. They were around when we were kids and they still make them - they’re vinyl cling stickers with scenes. But they’re not sticky and actually can be reused. My son loved them!

OMG! I just LOVE you guys. No matter what kind of day I've had, you guys always make me smile. Every little thing Jackson does reminds me of things my son used to do. Some things, I had actually forgotten until I see Jackson. My son is now 15 and is towering over me, but he still loves cuddling with his momma, so I've really lucked out on that part. I wish you guys the same for when Jackson gets older.

As soon as my son started running around he went into his toddler bed and he would have a duvet and pillow and he was definitely still running around at the night lol we put a safety gate on his door frame and he’d throw his books and toys over the gate 😂

@Tiffany Ann Everyone loves to say Target is so expensive, but I’ve never noticed a huge difference in price. Especially if you have their credit card and/or the cartwheel app. Furthermore, they definitely talk about shopping elsewhere. And they clearly ordered that sticker thing from Amazon, which is notoriously cheap...Anyway, I wonder if that woman realizes we can see past comments she’s left on their videos on her profile. They’re all quite negative and judgmental. Must be a miserable, bitter person to actively take time out of her day to passive aggressively criticize the Trackers’ choices rather than just...watching someone else.

😂😂 no they go in a toddler bed when they start flipping over the rails and climbing out of their cribs. Our doctor told us when she goes in to a toddler bed she can have a pillow. She has a very thin cheap pillow. I laid on it to make sure I could breathe through it. Not like she uses it anyway. She kicks it away and sleeps on her stomach.

So my son (20 months) sleeps in a sleep sack which is supposed to help prevent them from climbing the rails. So far so good but he is starting to take it off! 😩 I’m dreading the toddler bed phase haha I don’t want to wonder if he’s in his bed! I have a Hatch though and might start to sort of “train” him to know it’s time to get out of bed when the light turns on…

when my kids were about Jackson's age, they loved stickers too. when we would buy sticker sheets, we would peel the background part off the sticker sheet, and they were able to peel the stickers by themselves. they loved it. just a little parenting hack 👍🏻🥰 we love you guys

When my kids started climbing out of the crib I'd convert them to a big boy bed and then give them a pillow as well. They would also get out of bed several times...but they got the hang of it and learned to stay in bed until morning.

My son is the same age as Jackson and he’s used a pillow for probably 6 months now. It’s just a little animal pillow (pretty flat). We lay him down on it, but he almost always rolls off and sleeps on his tummy. I think it’s just a comfort thing for him 😊

When my kids were little and transitioned to a toddler bed, we used an awesome little clock that glows green when it is ok to wake up (you set the time for it to start glowing green). They still sell it (and others like it) on Amazon. It’s called Teach me Time by Patch Products. I would tell my kiddos that if they wake up and don’t see a green light, they can go back to sleep or quietly read a book in their bed until it was time to wake up. Worked great for us! My son is almost 3 and still runs around everywhere. Haha..We have a Safety Gate in his room at the door. When he gets up he’ll pay with his toys quietly until I come in to get him. Works out great. He can’t get out the room but he still has some freedom in there with his toys, with anything else up high where he can’t reach.

Back in the 60s, my Mom bought a huge roll of white butcher paper for our family to use. It was about 3' wide and heaven only knows how long because it lasted for years and was used by all 5 of us for crafts, costumes, and school projects. (My favorite one was when I was 9 and I lay down on the paper to trace my body and create a pattern for a sleeveless dress. I loved the dress I made from a beautiful green Hawaiian printed fabric, even if the shoulders ended up looking a little Jetsonish.) A great advantage in using butcher paper is that it won't tear or wrinkle so easily as regular paper and can be taped to the floor to create any size play space. Amazon sells rolls that are about 18" wide and 100 ' long for about $10. I recommend the unwaxed kind, but one of my brothers swears by the waxed kind of butcher paper for painting.

My daughter was 3 when we did a pillow for her and to start off we got a mini travel size pillow (Walmart sells them). Also it’s cheaper to go to a regular bed and do the side rails than get a separate toddler bed then a “big bed”. With our first we got a toddler bed and our daughter outgrew it in less than a year so it wasn’t worth it, with our second we went from crib straight to a regular bed and had a side rail and he did amazingly good.

Another tip: Amazon sells a clock (several companies) that use colors and a cute facial graphic to teach kids when it's time to go to bed, wake up, start the day, etc). My cousin used this for his son and it worked. He learned that he could get out of bed when the clock turned a specific color. Just a thought!
