Thank you for talking about this! My husband and I are young marrieds and have loved living life debt free, but it’s sometimes hard feeling like we’re the only ones around living life like this. It’s so encouraging to hear you guys, who are also in a similar stage of life, talk about being debt free.

I particularly liked how you spoke about this as a couple goal. Me and my hubby are also married for not that long yet and at first I found it a bit hard/challenging when it came to realizing that all the finances are joint now. I have no debts while my husband has, and at one point it was only me working and I certainly felt that "oh, so now I have to give all that money away" moment that your husband touched upon. 😅 But like you guys say it's such a beautiful lesson to learn that if you can sincerely look at this as a goal for both of you, if you can go through this together, that's just beautiful. And really good for relationship. I am certainly happy that Lord showed me where I can step from a place of ego to a place of more sharing and more care for the other/family unit.

I am soo proud of you guys! I think being debt free should be celebrated and shared that it is possible to be debt free! You guys are still so young and just seeing how mature your choices that you are making will take you guys so so far! Keep it up! My husband and I luckily paid off our debt and saved just in time right before the pandemic happened as well. We are also now saving to build our future home. I am the first person from my side of the family to ever be debt free and it feels AMAZING to not deduct any money to loan payments! God Bless and may many more of your dreams come true!

Needed this motivation! My husband and I got married a year ago and started Dave Ramsey a few months ago. It was so discouraging to see everyone if Dave Ramsey’s Instagram who paid off so much debt so fast. Thank you for the encouragement!

I have young people that I love that truly need to be inspired by this video, Being secure and knowing where you are,is SO important for the long run,I have observed people over a lifetime that could never delay spending to get to this point,It is so sad.... bad things are going to happen and its so much worse when you have not prepared. I know its hard, you can still live a good life while you are in the process you just need to know where your money is going . I use to take a month once in a while and not spend a penny on anything but necessities, I would not buy a pack of gum...at the end of the month, it was astonishing how much more money went into the bank. Go forward people friends...This truly is about living your best life.

Congratulations! This is a huge accomplishment! You both are correct by looking at all your monthly costs and deciding what can be stopped and or changed is the first step. Once you do this you will continue to see other areas that can be changed and that amount can be put in savings and leave it alone. LOL! Let those savings grow and continue to feed it and seriously you guys are so young that you will see how fast it will grow.

WOW ALL HARD WORK PAID OFF. WHEN YOU ARE DEBT FREE YOU CAN FOCUS ON THE FUTURE , GIVE GENEROUSLY, FOLLOW YOUR PASSIONS AND INSPIRE HOPE IN OTHERS BECAUSE THEY NEED THE INSPIRATION YOUR STORY CAN PROVIDE. IT WOULD MEAN SO MUCH TO THEM TO KNOW THAT SOMEONE ELSE HAS BEEN WHERE THEY WERE AND LIVED TO TELL ABOUT IT. YOU BOTH ARE SO DOWN TO EARTH AND ADORABLE. TAKE CARE AND BE SAFE. GOD BLESS YOU BOTH, YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS. 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕

Love this! I cannot wait to be debt free, my fiance doesn't have any debt but I am in medical school racking it up. I know it will be several years before we are completely debt free, but we are going to have the same strategy! We will put all our extra money towards it until we know it's paid off!

As a young couple this was the best decision of your life. It allows you to be prepared for any emergency. I use one credit card (for airline points) and this card is paid in full monthly. Needless to say, I am older but very comfortable financially. Keep up the great savings. Kisses to Riley. 😎❤️💄Kathy 😷

I can understand the relief of being debt free. I rented for 23 years, I bought my first flat (in Northern Spain where I moved from Argentina) a year ago (I'm 51), thanks to having inherited half of my father's flat after his death. I wouldn't have been able otherwise. Here's to freedom!

My fiancé and I just racked up the biggest debt by buying our home and ended up having to purchase two cars as well. Although we did pay off all of our student and credit card debt before buying both of these things. And although we are technically in a ton of debt we feel really better about what we chose to put our money in.
