This is a great video with a great story that I perfectly understand. I am a stock photographer myself and I remember the days when Shutterstock paid reasonably well and to day has gone to the bottom unfortunately, Shutterstock sells the membership and they do well because they have an extensive library of stock so does Alamy, but Alamy rewards the photographer for each sell they make no comparison to Shutterstock. Today Adobe has taken that seat and they sell well and pay reasonably. Stock photography is a passive income for me, I enjoy taking pictures in my travels it motivates me to have a reason to travel. Your story is fascinating because you came in it at the right time and you both worked as a team and persevered and became creative with it. Thanks for sharing and all the best, cheers.

Great job Tina and Norm! I never knew! I'm amateur photographer (mainly landscape and cityscape). I looked into stock photography but the days of making decent money I guess are gone. I retired about 2 years ago, then last year I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Luckily, it was caught early, had surgery in February, and I'm now cancer free. Not what I expected after just retiring, but doing great now. I love my Canon R6 mirrorless camera and hope to start selling some prints soon now that I'm back in good health. Take care.

Hi Teen & Norm 👋🏻 Thank you for sharing!! Love this video! I always say I was born with a camera in my hands… cheeky, of course! But, I was about 5 when my Mum gave me my first film camera hh for kids)…back in the late 60’s. It was a crappy little thing but I loved it! Of course back then you had to be very selective when shooting, so as not to waste film. My first really good 35mm was a Konica, given to me by my Mum… it had been hers and she passed it down to me when she upgraded. Mum was a photographer’s apprentice, back in England, during the war. She did the colourizing, back in the 40’s. She came to Canada in 1949. My Mum had a life-long passion for capturing special moments and we benefited because there are thousands of photos of us and our family, starting from infancy. Her floral photos were magnificent as were the rest of her still life photos but she was incredible at capturing people. My sister never got into it but I did and I never go far without my Canon. I love photography people and scenery as well. I’ve often thought of doing stock photography…
