Great video! I agree with Japan not really being the “the motherland”anymore for parts. For my car, I actually get a lot of stuff from the UK or Australia. They make a ton of good parts and they don’t cost as much. Yeah it’s cool to have Japanese parts on a jdm car, but sometimes it’s just not worth paying extra for the name brand like HKS.

For about the $300 mark, you can go Tial MV-S 38mm or Turbosmart Comp Gate-40. For even more savings you can find old used Turbonetics gates on EBay for under $200 sometimes. Just stay away from the Tial if it's not from an authorized dealer as those are heavily counterfeited.
