Love your channel!! Thank you for focusing your content on real life and relatable topics. You are one of the most genuine couples on KZbin. Other couples only care about what they can show off and don’t focus on what could actually help others. Keep on doing what you’re doing! By the way, KC born and raised. Go CHiEFS and Rock Chalk 😀

Abby, we do probably every single thing you listed in this video! Even down to the “fun money”. We haven’t done that for a few years but every single principle you mentioned, that’s what we do! It works, and we don’t feel like we live a “lesser” life at all. We feel so blessed! And are blessed in a way to bless others ❤️ So glad you guys could share this in a fun easy way for others to learn!

In 2018 we paid for my husband's 2018 Ford F150 King Ranch and now we have saved 100K to buy me a Lexus. Now we build wealth and give, give and give.

Another thing is that you CAN go watch the game with your friends, and just get a water! Maybe split an appetizer with someone and put that $5 under your fun money. You don’t have to say no to places that cost money but just don’t spend the money while you are there and you can still be a part of the fun:)

@tarazanni9370Ай бұрын
An account that invests your money for you and grows over time! If you go to your local bank and speak with someone (it’s free) they can get you set up with one or you can enroll online! Vanguard is a popular one.

Saying to never finance a car is something I don't agree with. Let's say you've saved up the $30k to buy a car outright. If you put that 30k into a high interest savings account, you should be making 5-8% interest (or more). A car loan should come in around 3-4% interest. While it FEELS different to be making a monthly payment, you're at a net loss to pull money from savings to buy a car outright. Obviously everyone is going to do whatever they feel is most comfortable to them, there's nothing wrong with that. However, there's also a different mindset if you're trying to build longer term wealth, you have to look beyond this month or even this year.
@Lauren-fp3dhАй бұрын
I think the problem is, people don’t have the $30k and they buy a car they can’t afford. If Caleb & Abby financed a $30k car while making $37k a year, the payments would be stifling. Plus the car is a depreciating asset, meaning as you’re paying interest on the car, it’s becoming worth less & less overtime.
@Lauren-fp3dhАй бұрын
To be clear, I think there’s a time when people may need to finance a car, for example, if you’re just getting your first job and don’t have one, but people end up buying cars because they can afford the monthly payment but not the car most of the time
@magnoliabloomsАй бұрын
What bank has above 5% interest rates? I actually want to know. You'd make more money putting 20K in the high interest savings and pay cash for a 10K car.
@MyhusbandrenamedmyhandleАй бұрын
Buying a 60k car when you don't have the money for it is not doing to make you wealthy. The moment you drive away with it, it goes down in value. I'd rather buy a cash car that is within what I can afford than struggle making payments I can't afford.
@cari.smith2021Ай бұрын
I think the idea of buying a car with cash instead of investing that money is that not only does it encourage you to find a cheaper car within your budget (definitely not a brand new one), but the mental end of not having a car payment is amazing. I’ve done both… I’ve had a car loans, and I’ve bought a car outright. The latter is so much better in my opinion, and all the money I save month to month not paying off a car loan can go towards investments. Also, as a bonus, if you don’t have a car loan, and you run into a tight financial situation (such as losing a job) you won’t need to worry about losing your car. It is safe with you, you may just need to temporarily pause investments.
