We used PVC and EMT through it for a strong frame that looks cool and our kids could built it! Plus, it can handle a more powerful 2000 Watt brushless motor for little ones and adults - 40+ kph !!!

It's very frustrating I have the motor hooked up in the speed controller in the gas hooked up to the speed controller and I have a battery that's hooked up to the speed controller and that's all and nothing will work maybe I need a power switch but I don't know where to hook the power switch up to the speed controller I really need help with it.

Where did you get the motor controller you used? Im having issues with my homemade electric trike. 48 volt system. 18650 batteries in a 13s 2p configuration with a bms.
@joequixotic30394 жыл бұрын
I'm building a scooter with a similar motor setup. Mine is 1,800 watts and I got it from Amazon very cheap, around $130 a little over a year ago. The controller has a rating of 33 amps for 1,800 watts so you need a battery capable of that kind of current draw. If you want it to last for many hundreds of charge cycles, you have to use a battery that is easily capable of typical use and able to handle peak draw as well. For me, that's a 13s4p pack using LG M50T 21700s which are rated at 7.4 amps draw and can go to about 10 amps before the discharge curve gets bad. 8.25 amps max should be ok and I hope to cruise at about 2.5 amps per cell (about 500 watt power) for a 0.5C discharge rate. Some 18650s can handle similar currents or higher (for short times) but if you have half as many in parallel, your battery pack will be highly stressed. Even a 500 watt draw would be close to a 2C discharge and if you use cells made for high discharge, your cell current capacity will be pretty low and even lower if your discharge rate is very high. I could probably get away with a 13s3p battery using my LG M50T cells but I stepped it up to ensure my battery has an easy life. I would never even consider a 13s2p using 18650s even if they were the best high discharge cells money can buy.
