My wife and I have had everything together from day one. Our salaries go into a joint account and from it we pay our bills and whatever else we need to do. There's no such thing as "my money" or "her money", only OUR money. Circumstances may be different for other couples but for us, Marriage is a ONE FLESH UNION and that means having all things, assets and liabilities included, together. Nice couple; blessings to you both.

Thank you for sharing and being honest about how you both handle your finances in marriage. A lot of people will not, and even if they do, they subscribe to ‘my money is mine and his is ours’. Financial role and all other roles within marriage are fluid in nature…it’s about understanding the season you’re in and working together to victoriously go through that season.

I love the sense of balance that has come with the strayegy you have both adopted. In my estimation, it doesn't necessarily have to be exactly 50/50, but not leaving your man to shoulder the entire responsibility shows great wisdom & consideration. In the end, everyone will choose a path that works for them, but it's only fair that the burden is not placed on one side whilst the other party chills. Well-done!!!

Nice one Chidera. Was your credit bank from a bank? I ask because I couldn't get one from my bank because I haven't lived in the UK for up to 2 years. So I will interested to know banks that could offer me credit card if I have lived for at least 18 months? xx
