Wow. So interesting. I met my wife on DIA also in 2008. We have been married going on 12 years now. I sent DIA a message telling them thank you for letting me use their site for free. We have a 10 year age gap. Out of 150 or so profiles that I read on DIA at that time, only one fit me at my age of 51. I sent her a message and the rest is history. I am now retired in Cebu City Philippines for the 2nd time. Had to go back to the States 2 years ago because my wife came down with breast cancer. She got through her treatments and now we came back to retire the 2nd time in the Philippines.

I’m going back watching some of your old videos because my wife and I were wondering how you guys met. Asian dating is how we met as well in August of 2015. She was working as a nanny in Hong Kong and we chatted for 8 months before I met her in the Philippines at Manila airport. I never flown before and was a little nervous to fly half way across the world to meet up and she wasn’t even there yet from her flight from Hong Kong. Being from small town Oklahoma it was a great experience for me but life changing all at the same time. We flew to Leyte a week later to meet all her family and was overwhelmed by the kindness and hospitality of her mother and siblings.We had a great time for my month there before I went back to U.S. We decided to marry in the U.S. so I petitioned her with K1 visa and after her arrival here in 18’ we went back to Leyte to remarry in front of all her family In Palompon. I was 24 years old when my friend gave me my husband's name back in 1978. My friend owned a pen-pal company and I worked as a typist for the applicants. At that time I was very innocent never knew anything about anything. Marilou told me to send my picture to this guy in America. At that time we communicated through snail mail and it took two weeks to reach where it's going. One time I received a phone call and Will (my husband now) told me that he was coming to meet me in person. I was shaking and almost dropped the phone because I thought I was just practicing my English by writing to each other and never serious about anything. He came to the Philippines in 1978 and he filed for a petition for me back in 1979 and we've been married ever since. We are now grandma and grandpa for two adorable grandkids.

Interesting, I did the same in 2015, married in a small town in Lagonglong Misamis Oriental and got a second daughter as a bonus. Yes you have to get the blessings. We had to fly in the Commissioner since I had only 4 weeks time and then you also need paperwork from the embassy. Then I had her PR card made for Canada and soon we will go back for good for the same reasons you mentioned in other videos. You cannot retire here. You only pay bills and taxes. Drugs taking over the cities. You only work. We had 2 years apart. We never fight. I am so happy and grateful!!

@@Marker44 My wife comes from Don Carlos, Bukidnon, Mindanao. She is a farmgirl. She knows agriculture. Beside our small pension allowance our daughter will also chip in since she will stay behind in Canada. This is what Filipinos do. We have a small farm and we will lease 10 ha land for 5 years and plant sugar cane, sweet potato, and other crops to boost our annual income by about $24,000. Labor cost only 250 PHP a day. You manage. A lot of data is online. Something to think about since if you dont do anything you WILL get bored.

We had plan to be married sept 2021 in Philippines we met Aug 2017 online Philippines was closed around 2 year so we start K-1 K-2 before 2 yr window closed no one new Philippines would open Feb 2022. I am thinking of moving to the Philippines also. I am just wanting to have my retirement go further than it will in the U.S. I have sponsored women for college because my father did the same thing. 2 women took my compassion to heart and went to college and actually studied and graduated from college. I did it not to court them but wanting to help and genuinely ask for nothing in return. But it is time to move to a place and live comfortably without worrying about struggles. Yes, I know about some women being dishonest but I was blessed to sponsor 3 women for college and having only 1 being dishonest. The biggest problem I think is major medical expenses heart attack stoke etc . U have to have cash or your dead that’s the bad thing. But u only live once so do it! My late Father in law and her Uncle was in death march My Filipino wife Dad escape He end up working for US Army then pass away at our house in Irving,Texas 90 years old in Year 2000 . My Filipino wife was My late best friend wife He brought over here in states in late 1970s when was station in Philippines, Then try relisted find out had after took physical exam they find had cancer which he prove had it while he was in service so they took care medical bills then pass 1985 on death bed he ask me take care family which was Wife and 4 year daughter . At that time I was going thru divorce 2 years later we in love got married . She older than me by 3 years but remember Asian and Filipinos look younger so everyone thinks she younger than me
