I was in a relationship for 14 years and my partner at the time moved to another city for work and ended up dating another guy while we were still together. He broke up with me after a year of doing this. I was so hurt but I couldn't say anything because he deserves to be happy (we all do). I still think about it (it's been a year already) and I feel so sad, I feel so hurt that I was just a place holder. He was my first love and I don't know if I can ever love again. Realizing I was just a placeholder really put things into perspective for me.
