In most situations your concern is 100% justified. It would NOT be recommended practice. But perhaps he was seized by a greater instinct - greater than the normal excepted protocols - to help shake Horace out his fearful frozen state. And perhaps this instinct was motivated by a love greater than his normal well-controlled persona. He is a fictional character, but in my life I’ve had people who took the risk to confront me to “jump in” despite my fear and they changed my life forever.

I see this in my KZbin suggestions. I personally didn't like this short film's way of accepting a part of oneself. It's too idealistic while connecting two distinct situations for the character. And the characters are strangers to each other so I find it over-the-top that the character would allow and accept that behavior. 25dec22
