God does however, work in the spirit of Power, Love and Sound mind. We can tap into those virtues to help navigate our emotions while dealing with fear, anxiety & worry. Not to mention how special it is to confront a situation that petrifies you just to show the enemy that he can’t hold you back. So get competitive with your mindset. Be more than a reaction or a feeling. Take ownership over your mentality and lean into God to help you move THROUGH hardship, not away from hardship. Also this applies to a multitude of situations no matter what you’re doing through!

I had an emotional/spiritual soul tie with someone for about 2 years that I was just strictly friends with before I met my husband. It was a one-sided soul tie where I was always the one sharing deep, vulnerable, intimate details of my life with someone I wasn't even in a relationship with and wasn't moving towards marriage with. Looking back, I feel like refraining from trying to manufacture intimacy by sharing past hurts, daddy issues, fears, struggles, etc. with someone I wasn't moving towards a marriage commitment with would have really helped to prevent that soul tie. I knew it wasn't healthy, wasn't going anywhere and wasn't right. I was at a place where I felt genuinely ready to start dating to find someone to marry, but I knew that if I was going to be able to do that, I had to cut that relationship off. I was honest but loving and brought clarity when breaking it off; cutting off all communication is key. I met my husband 2 months later and we've been married 6 months now. So worth it.

What an amazing video with tons of great advice and wisdom. I had a soul tie with a guy back in 2020. We never made it official and we only talked and hung out for about 2 months, but it really hurt when it ended. He was my first heartbreak and it took up until a few months ago to fully get over. I realized I had made my him my source of happiness instead of looking to the Lord for that and I never want to do that again. I kept on randomly having dreams about him which frustrated me and made me feel unable to move on. However, a while ago, I had a dream about him where I asked myself "if you could only say one more thing to him, what would it be?" So in the dream, I turned to him and said "You really hurt me, but I forgive you and I hope you can forgive me too." and then walked away. I felt like after that dream, I was finally free. It felt so amazing not to be tied to him or what happened in the past and that I could genuinely pray for him. God is so good!

yea I'm glad you said that T re soul tie with someone that you haven't had sex with, I feel like I am and have been caught up for a long time in mum and dad's soul tie. They separated when I was about 4 and divorced a few years later but it feels like some tie was pulled along in the space in between that and my mum remarrying. I feel and believe that I/The Lord has been in the process of resolving this over the past few years but I don't yet feel fully free from it. I also feel like something happened to me/an aspect of me on some timeline, its vague if its this current life experience, but someone connected with me that shouldn't have and it got my physical body bonded to them(on a lower dimension or frequency to where my authentic physical body is aligned) and spirit out of body, which i am also still in the process of reconciling. My reason for mentioning that though is that I feel like this is causing me a block to intimacy with the soul I do want to bond with in the physical/its creating a fear block that I am afraid of the repercussions of creating a soul tie in the physical generally, even a positive one, because my body still remembers the soul shock, tearing, being pulled on both with parents and the other trauma memory...yes its like a trauma bond soul tie I have had in the physical. Again I feel like its gradually being resolved but yea I don't feel fully free of that yet and still sorta clinging to mum for meeting my survival needs in the physical because of this. Really just sharing but if you feel to say anything I am here for your response :) Just reading this over and yea I have very little connection in the physical and spend a lot of time alone(something ancestral too) because of this I'm sure/at least influenced by this. I want physical platonic connection and physical intimacy but this is repelling it/keeping it at a distance/getting in the way of me pulling connection in. Particularly intimately, the men(who all really feel like different vessels of the same soul) appear around me in my reality but then there is a bit of a stalemate and we just sorta end up looking at each other and hovering around each other rather than the intimacy actually happening 😅

If you find it difficult to move on and heal, then it is a good idea to change churches and take physical distance from the person. Distance from someone often helps getting over them and dealing with the pain and sadness.

If you feel like if it's is hindering you from moving on, then I would look into maybe going to a different service time, or possibly a different church. You don't want to be stuck in a space where you feel like you can't move on because they are constantly there. Now if y'all are friends and you don't feel romantic feelings for them anymore, then I'd say you're totally fine

Hey guys, please correct me if I'm wrong but I thought soul ties were not biblically accurate. Sex is bonding by flesh, not the soul. It speaks of "the two becoming one in flesh" but not the soul. I have not seen much biblical evidence for a soul tie but I could be wrong!

You are right. Nowhere in the Bible it speaks about soul ties, (except in the case where Jonathan's soul tied with David's in 1 Samuel 18:1, but that has a different meaning and not the same as the video speaks of). But is possible to get so attached to a person that it is unhealthy. And you need to break of and let go that unhealthy emotional attachment so that you can move on live your life to the fullest. It is scientifically proven that sex forms intense bonds emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually. There are good videos and articles on the internet explaining it. I am not sure why they call it a "soul tie". Maybe it is because you crave them with your whole soul. I think I will do some more research about it. @@meganferreira9880 Right! That's why I won't denounce the video in a whole because it does have truth. But I personally would not base it under the premise of a soul tie because it can be misleading, especially for new Christians
