As a 44 year old father of 4 and a husband of 25 years of relationship, 13 of marriage. I highly suggest to young couples out there to date and really get to know each other to see if either one of you meet what’s required for marriage based on your expectations. For example: I am a cultural man who rather a cultural woman in a marriage. If I as a cultural man marries a modern woman there will be problems in the marriage based on the two cultural differences which does not yoke well. This is the problem I see in marriages today. People are unequally yoked or unequally paired. We don’t seek God for our spouses anymore or get to know each other. We just choose based on what we see instead of what God sees. I am happy for you guys that you prioritized your marriage and make it more Christ-centered and it’s working out. God is a good God. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

Same goes for all of the Godly women out there. Don’t marry an unequally yoked, ungodly man. Make sure he has these characteristics first: The godly man: • repents when he sins (1 John 1:9) • considers himself dead to sin but alive to God (Romans 6:1-4, 11) • seeks to remain humble rather than exalt himself (Proverbs 27:2) • is a servant rather than demanding that he be served (Mark 10:45) • leads by example (1 Timothy 4:12) • (if married) loves his wife as Christ loves the church (Ephesians 5:25) • lives in sexual purity, honoring God with his body (1 Corinthians 6:18; Romans 12:1-2) • seeks to be continually filled with the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 5:18; Act 13:52; Galatians 5:25) • desires to please the Lord more than himself (2 Corinthians 5:9) • bears fruit for the kingdom of God (John 15:5-8)

I’m SO happy to see this kind of communication in a marriage! About 4yrs ago my husband and I were very close to calling it quits. Our problem was miscommunication. One day I was tired and told him I was done if he didn’t change. We talked for 6 hours that day until 3am! Our relationship changed after that day. A marriage can’t work if only one person is trying and both people think they are perfect. I didn’t validate my husbands feelings. When he did speak, I took what he said the wrong way. Now I repeat back what he said to make sure I understand him. Believe me I was a firecracker lol 😂. We’ve been married 25yrs years and I couldn’t have picked a better person! We have disagreements but they are handled much different now. We don’t go to bed mad at each other. Life is too short and I never want him to close his eyes angry with me!

I LOVEEEE this. my husband and i have a VERY similar story. we were on and off in a relationship for about 7 years, had our son very early in our relationship. we went through the whole custody battle due to toxicity and distance (i was living in jersey, he was from GA), and it wasnt until we broke up completely and spent time away from one another that healing began to take place. being parents and forming an actual friendship brought us back to the table and gave us a firm foundation to begin to build on, FAST FORWARD: we got married in July of this year and are now cooking up baby #2!!! Glory to God for these beautiful testimonies and thank you guys so much for sharing your story! ❤

Everything you said is true! If I could just get my husband on board😔. My first marriage was wonderful and lasted twenty years before he passed. My second marriage is on edge. He said he’s a manly man and he demands respect. For me, it’s beyond that, but he just does not listen when I try to explain. I’m praying that God will intervene before I just give up. It’s exhausting!

I know that the Lord led me to this video as my Kingdom Spouse and I are not married yet. There was so much toxicity, a lot of breakups and back and forth. As we both are doing the work and has drawn closer to our heavenly father. This kingdom spouse journey is not easy, but it's well worth it. For I am learning a lot about him and as well as myself. For we both decided a few months ago to go celibate. And wait until we are married. It definitely has drawn us closer to one another. As we are building a spiritual and emotional relationship with each other with no sex and i truly tell you it is such a blessing. He RESTORES!!! 🙏🏽❤ I’ve been through a custody battle too during my divorce and it was HELL. I almost lost my mind. I resorted to smoking everyday and drinking heavily. Although it wasn’t a relationship that could be salvaged romantically, I prayed for God to restore our friendship with each other for the sake of our children’s peace and our own too. O. K. I'm back. I am awestruck. God is amazing. He designs us to go thru difficulties that are specifically ones needed to bring forth His individual blessing for us that ultimately glorifies HIM! We just need to trust and give thanks during that season. As a couple and family I believe God has anointed you for such a time as this. He wants to use you far beyond what you're doing. You honored and obeyed Him by sanctifying yourselves and your entire family. I have a zillion questions but no matter for now I'd just say my heart sees a big horizon God wants to use you to enable and equip you to empower and strengthen marriages and families now more than ever. Satan has nearly destroyed marriage n family. Out of the ashes God is sprouting new seeds of growth to bring back the foundation necessary in building and enjoying a Godly family. There is absolutely no way that I can envision your family as a reality unless I say, this isn't just a family. This is an awesome, amazing, unbelievable, example of a "Godly" family I have brought forth for such a time like this. I am awestruck by the smoothness the Henry family does life. Too calm, loving, supportive, focused, intentional! Shows when we do things His way - it almost seems effortless. I see a future far beyond U-tube. God is going to expand your territory. Prayer of Jabez is a book that explains when we pray for more grace and privilege to expand our territory for God's honor - He WILL! Public speaking, conferences, teaching, writing, far beyond Henry family. 🥲🤗💜.

I enjoyed this very much. A lot of couples stoo being friends. People are together with one another and become comfortable. When they become comfortable they get lose into their own world and make it about them, instead of making it about their partner or the family they created. God is good. I have a question! Having that intimate history between you then stepping back and practicing abstinence was there any differences/revelations in intimacy before marriage vs. intimacy in the sanctity of marriage? I'm asking this because so many of us find ourselves in relationships where we are intimate before marriage but then make a decision to back it up and practice abstinence and wait until marriage. Sometimes we find out it won't work with that person if it's one sided but other times our partners join us on the journey and really want to see it through to marriage. That's where I am right now. It's hard but I do believe that it's possible and would love to have advice/insight on how that was for you guys! Thank you for sharing your beautiful story! God bless your union and family! ❤️

And usually, when a partner yells and raises their tone when attempting to "communicate" towards the other, it can be overwhelming to where it doesn't "feel safe" to talk...and also the higher vibration/frequency of the yelling/discussing can be like "Charlie Brown's teacher" 🙏🏾
