So true. When my wife and I were slamming all available extra money at our debt, we watched several of our friends continue to rack up more debt “ living the good life!” They don’t skip vacations even when it means charging them. Now we are debt free and can pay CASH for the luxurious in life. Our friends- still bitching about being in debt, but won’t change their poor spending habits. They want to be debt free, but without the effort it takes to get there. SMH.

I have an irregular income as well (commission based) and I think an "every dollar budget" is dangerous for those with irregular incomes. I do a weekly paycheck to paycheck (income to income) budget as well BUT I keep a certain % of my income each week in my checking to assure that a future low income week doesn't screw me over.

Like when you allocate a debt amt each week, not letting the amt put you at less than $500+ your bills for the wk? And I used to do that but now I’m being a crazy person just trying to get this car paid off but ima chill now LOL that was the first and last time I tried to do that. Shay Budgets yeah I was happy to hear you say in this vid that you wouldn't incur a late fee since you had a grace period 😊 You can pay all the bills in the beginning of the month OR every month you can wait until you all earn enough to cover the bills for the month before you start allocating towards debt and still keep that certain % in your checking to cover groceries etc. That's what I've been doing for the past 12 months. I saved my $12k for my mini and true emergency funds and paid off $14k in debt in that time frame (with just my income) and the only time I had a close call was when I moved a few mos ago. My acct got down to $500 cause I cashflowed everything. Anything under $1000 makes me panic lol.

My monthly income has decreased by ~3000 since then. Which of course I've got behind in a lot of my bills, cc over limit/closed. Thank goodness for cc debt insurance. It couldn’t be much worse for me trying to deal with a Bad credit score so low as 467, Including 3 credit cards debts; mortgage loan, late payments and one thefts criminal record from 2017 reported on Experian, rent was due for Eviction couldn’t get any help too. I searched on how I could increase my Credit score then I came across Creditpatchup LLC, I decided to contact them at [e-mail], he responded and said the process will take 5 -10 business days. My oldest is a senior in high school and his best friend who’s also a senior has been living with us going on a year now as his family situation is sadly unstable and not the best for his well being. I also have a younger son. Between Christmas coming up, Senior year expenses (college applications, senior pictures, dances, events, cap and gown fees ALREADY) and both the older boys turn 18 in January! Luck would have it that their birthdays are only 5 days apart a few weeks after Christmas lol! 30% interest rate is high. I believe interest rates are based on your credit score. Some people use the Snowball method because it gives you short-term accomplishments. It's good to know to know the terms of your contract, interest rates, min payment and other conditions.

I use my grace period every month for my student loans. The loan is due on the 11th, but I get paid on the 15th. I set up automatic payments with my student loan provider for 15th. There's no late fees.

I paid my credit card debit completely within a week, with a debt settlement company , they gave me an account number and routing number to pay my balance from, I didnt have to give them my card info, i ultimately just called my bank and gave them the companies Account number and routing , which i used to pay my balance , you guys should try it . i paid 7800$ approximately

I literally have. little over 2K in credit card debt and before I knew what the different methods are called, I was thinking of knocking out the lowest one first (I only have 2 credit cards & I want only 1) then proceed to.my big boy so that my limit can keep climbing! I am working on knocking out debt but what I had to do was choose to not pay some loans from a debt company that will not charge me late fees but i have divided all the loans from it on my debt payoff plan and I am working on it. I have so far paid off 6 little loans with them and am working 10 more knocking them out 1 at a time and because they are not going to charge me late fees I have taken the payment amounts from the higher balance loans and used them on the lower balance ones I will hopefully have the majority of these paid off this year
