@Detail Groove Thanks for showing the process.... I understand you cleaning the carpeting 1st so that it has a longer time to dry while you're cleaning everything else. Doesn't that leave a better chance of other gunk you're cleaning getting on the carpets or dirt from your feet? Are you able to detail the whole rest of the inside without having your feet inside? If it has upholstered seats, you're kind of forced to do those last, right? Otherwise you'd be sitting on wet seats to clean the inside.

I find it crazy when people don’t use an air compressor to do their detail. I’ve been detailing for 7 years now and when I FIRST started I was using air. To me, you don’t get everything out of the car without it 😁

I use a leaf blower and open all the doors and just go insane until everything loose, then I spray the carpets with some fabric softener and then I vacuum, but regardless I don’t do a job with dog hair like this unless I’m getting $250 minimum, shits a work out and takes a long time

Do you think the portable air compressor output limits the full usage of the blowout tool? I know I use a blowout tool to the max with a shop size compressor on all pet hair and dirt problems. For me this is the quickest way to making the job of cleaning the interior less work and time consuming.

The cleaning gun says it needs 90 PSI for best performance. This is what Rigid compressor puts out. It works great
@joelpasserell4525
@joelpasserell4525 2 жыл бұрын
@Detail Groove 90 psi @ what cfm though? Many smaller ones can't keep up the cfm requirement of the tool @ the 90. So you get a full initial blast but after a few seconds you don't have the same amount of air flow coming out & the compressor runs nonstop until you stop using the air and it recovers. Those tornadoes are air hogs! 😆
@Erix7810
@Erix7810 2 жыл бұрын
@@joelpasserell4525 I agree, I’ve got a 66gal upright 240v compressor and I run the tornado blow out gun at 130psi. It’s a hog, and once it falls to 90-95psi I can tell a reduction in its performance. When it reaches 90 I normally stage tools or do some other interior work while the compressor recovers to 130psi.

Getting ready to drive to go do just this in half an hour lol but of course KZbin told me you posted this video, so I had to watch 🙂 both those mitts really do help a ton over the bigger spots. The only difference between this, is detailing without an air compressor because my compressor won’t fit in my trunk lol but other than that, same process. I’m working alone so it’ll take more than a couple hours, but this video’s SUV is much cleaner than what I have today, so it’s going to be around $350. Your videos are great and have helped me so much in my business 🙂💪 keep it going!

Jesus 260….I work for myself and for a job like this I’ve been charging 160ish and customers barely like that price..hard to grow when customers don’t want to pay! It’s definitely been a challenge out here for me but I keep going. @ThisIsSparta300

Brother tell me some things about what equipment you use, my brother and I charged 160 and nobody wants to pay that because a) those customers have no money and can’t even afford to get their car done so it’s more work for you, B) it’s not enough to expect a good job is done so they’re too checked out already to even enjoy the work you actually worked hard on My brother and I started in 2018 and this year we DOUBLED our prices, fixed the website up a little, watched some “how to rank on dgoogle business” videos and now that we charge 240-350 for a full interior with shampoo ( that’s 240) and 40/hour for pet hair, mold, sand, pine needles, or any generic service that takes more extra time than usual. Trust me bro raise your prices. Please dude im telling you, your life will change when you’re making 300+ a day vs 160… chase away the broke boys and bring some appreciative customers who will tip on a 300$ bill. Offer a 130$ express - a vacuum, drill Brush & wipe down(we call this the silver package) and that also includes a wipe down, interior glass, and some vinyl care. All you do is just tell most customers that their car is too soiled to fit the package in with confidence and if they hmm and haw you can either let them call somebody else or take the job on if you financially have to By having two packages you separate your client base by splitting them into categories for you. The cheap ones have less expectations cause it’s “just a silver” and it’s All they can afford. If they go with the gold package here you spend some extra time on the gold jobs so that the customer does retain some value on their investment. Charge 40/hour for overtime also and make suuuure you get paid for your extra time, otherwise you’ll live your entire life sitting on people’s disgusting cars for 20//hour 😔 GET PAID BRO. match the most expensive shop in your area

@@ThisIsSparta300 @Adrian Pina Spot on! If your starting out, get some experience and look at the market competition and see what everybody in your area are charging. Take notes from the the top 2 detailers in your market and start charging what they are charging. If the best in your area are charging 250-300 for an interior/exterior, do the same, but take into account what they offer and compare them to the services you offer and adjust your pricing from there. Dont take shit from customers.
