I don’t wanna make this a tear-jerker but when I see your videos it always reminds me of the song “ cats in the cradle” not because you do jack, like the dad did the boy in the song.... but the opposite. And I always think Jacks always is gonna have proof how much his parents loved him, how much he became their world,(even before he was born) and he will never be like the boy in the song. I mean nobody can show their whole lives in a 30 second clip but tbh y'all do have what I think to be the "perfect" life. You have a beautiful family and loving partners, everyone has good days and bad days but that doesn't make your life any less awesome. I guess I'm a year behind. Ugh! At first I watched your brother's videos and then I was confused. Now I'm straightened out. Seriously, with what our country and the world has gone through over the last few years, perhaps the ability to visit another person or family is a welcome relief to isolation. During the shutdown I packed up and stayed with my son and his family for about 3 months. As they are teachers, when they returned to work, they were uncertain whether my time there and exposed to children coming home from school was such a good idea. So I returned to my home and lived isolated for about 7 more months. Ugh! So I guess what I am trying to say is that your sweet videos have been a hope line for so many people. I am a way old senior, but I view life as hope and more hope and more hope and "Tree of Life". Perhaps you have not shared the difficulties because most of the population needs possibilities. I am a newbie to your platform, but I love every video because you remind me of my own children who are extraordinary. I especially loved the video where Derik didn't want to put the baby down for a nap. That was so heart warming. Of course everybody wants to live the idealic life that you portray, but you can't fake being happy. So I see that your videos offer many an opportunity to dream. "Gee, I wonder if I could have a life like that"? Absolutely yes! The impossible is possible to him who believes!

Our youngest is 23 years old. It never gets dull raising them, lol. One of the best things I have ever been told was when I was 19. "Perception is 100% what other people think or believe you have said." That said, based on the over all picture I have seen is that you both are doing a great job as parents. When my little buddy man was that age, he used to swing his legs a lot when I held him. Well, he got me in the, um yeah, area A LOT! He was my buddy and I was not going to stop holding him. I actually had to see the doc because the pain was constant. Just sharing a troubling moment from my experience being a father. It was worth it. Being Dad is always worth it. I think it's really important that people remember how edited and curated videos on social media are. They are so much fun, and people can tell which creators are authentic, like you guys 😊. But sm is no different than any other type of entertainment medium; the Rockstar and movie stars we all get so invested in have crappy days, get zits, and generally put their pants on one leg at a time just like everyone else. We shouldn't look to people who are producing entertainment and assume that we know their lives intimately just because we consume their content, the same way we shouldn't judge ourselves by comparing how we look running to the drugstore in our sweats against an actress in a movie who has an entire team of stylists, makeup artists and personal trainers. I appreciate that you took the time to remind us of that 💜
