How we remove the blower wheel and fan on the indoor unit of a mini-splt.

Thanks for the video. I have a chirping Minisplit in my bedroom and it sounds like it’s coming from the left side of the unit, likely a lack of grease on the end pin of the blower fan cylinder… wonder if there’s any access to that bearing once the plastic outer cover is off..?

It sounds like it's rubbing on something. I doubt it's a dry bearing because it's a metal shaft on plastic sleeve. Once you takes the cover off, the left side is where the shaft fits into the sleeve, and you can spin the wheel with a finger to pinpoint noise. Everything should be able to be disassembled once you get to that point.

Mine ended up being dry grease in the socket. Metal pin, rubber bush. Had to do a little lift of the coils to get access, but now I know there’s a small hole in the rubber that I can apply grease through with minimal disassembly in the future Thx again for the video, helped me sort it out as a DIY

Think about how incredibly poorly this device is designed. Ridiculous to mount the screws were they have them. I am searching for a better designed mini split. I have an LG 24000 BTU from eComfort in 2017 that is really similar and so far I can not get the motor out.

Engineers who design these heads need to lose their jobs for not making these properly accessible. Typical.😊
