We wanted to add a passive stream of income (well semi-passive until we have a system in place). We don't make a lot of money if any at all so we had to find a car that was inexpensive but could still make us money every month and covers its own expenses. This is the research we did to find that car in our market.

Question: does Turo count a "trip" by the number of days it was rented? For example if a car has 20 trips does it mean they had the car out for 20 days or does it mean the cars has been booked 20 times. For instance 20 trips but a "trip" could be a person doing a 5 day rental. Just trying properly analyze the data I'm looking at.

God bless you sir I saw you're video about the D.C Maryland area earlier I want to say right before I discovered your video me and my brother searched the internet for answers. Lots of results ultimately the answers were not satisfying. So we took all the information we gathered and formed our own research plan and weeks later we zeroed in on a couple of strategy's and made a safe purpose a little difficult in our market but we crunched the numbers and settled. a week or two after our purchase I discovered your video and your plan to select a car was better articulated but you came to the exact same conclusion about potential cars. Which was amazing to see. It just gave me a little extra inspiration and drive to continue in the pursuit. Thank you for helping reignite the fire. Awesome content, I’m on the same page as y’all. I’m in San Antonio/Austin Texas area. I have three vehicles that are 5 to 6 years old RAV4, 4Runner and Sienna…I focused on reliability due to A lot of traveling in Texas …..it’s a good idea to have a mix fleet in my area due to a lot of families visiting for vacation, weekend getaway and military basic training graduation. You can take home 90% of your daily rate but if something happens your deductible is $2500 we are currently on the 75% plans and our deductible is $250 I also suggest getting at least 3-4 cars. Are you going to buy or finance the cars?

I think its better to compare cars not by brands but by the same class of cars. For example it could be huge difference between toyota land cruiser and toyota auris :) so I think you should move forward and firstly estimate what classes of cars are booked more often among your favorable price category. Its not to useful to know which car brand represented widely than others but its neccesary to know your prospective clients demands: are they family guys or single ones, do they need extra space or allroad car or maybe it should be convertable coupe or if its overpopulated region with lack of space it should be something like fiat 500. I'm far from beliveing in people adequacy and analitic skills for most of them, thats why i think that there are always exists some free niche for you.
