You could used to go up to the stones. Ever since I read Tess of the d'Urbervilles, and my favourite teacher told me how she created one of the scenes, I've wanted to get uo and close to the stones. I can understand why but it does suck. 😔

I’m of the thought that basic resources - which come from the earth, and are essential for survival - should always be shared. These things I would say are food, water, air, and land/the earth itself. Where I live, it’s a law that water must always be freely given. If I go to a restaurant and ask for some water, they must give me some, even if I’m not a paying customer. Technically, they could charge me for a disposable cup (some cafes will charge 10-25 cents), but the water is free. Air is automatically free (thank God no one’s figured out how to charge money for air to breathe!). Food can be quite expensive. I’m happy to pay others to grow it, prepare it, transport it, stock it, etc.; however, it’s also something I’ll always share if I have some. Even though food costs money, I also firmly believe that no one should go hungry. Land is also a high commodity, sometimes selling for millions of £. However, even though I wouldn’t automatically let strangers into my house (and I’d feel ownership of my home), I would allow people to come on land I owned (if I owned any!), so long as they were respectful. I think if someone just wants to go for a walk, pitch a tent, forage, or what have you, there’s no harm in that. I believe in Finland, that’s how the law works - even if you own land, others are allowed to use it (within reason, of course).

The next video should be Katie giving up control. 24 hours of Katie not being allowed to cook or clean.

I think the paid entry is worth it once. You do get closer and can loop around the whole thing. That said, it should definitely be free. Its a world heritage site and its £30 a pop. Ridiculous.

Oh let’s not get on Katie’s bad side. I have a feeling she is slow to anger, but once there, watch out. Thats the way I am. My kids laugh about the one time that they saw me get mad at the neighbor. They still tell the story at family gatherings. My girlfriend and her husband are from Manchester, and when they got married they took a trip to Stonehenge and took some pictures of them laying on some of the stones. Lol. You sure can’t get that close anymore.
