This is a very, very early version of the game. It is surprising how much the game changed since it's alpha. Even castles were triple the size and it all felt much more similar to AoE1

Tbh I always wondered why an enemy can just stand under a gate to force it open, since this would be the obvious outcome of man vs gate

I don't remember ever doing this in AoK, but I recall another game called "Cossacks" where this was a thing I used to do a lot. Gates were real troup eaters in that one!
