These old promotional videos always take me back, Damian! I remember watching them over and over at the Beatties shop in central Birmingham! It made me buy the Monster Beetle, my first ever Tamiya and i never looked back! Great days mate! Cheers! 😎👌👍

Your monster beetle video's are great. Loved the show and tell you did a while back now. You never gave up on it and repaired it all the way to full life again. Talking about it makes me want to go watch the other video with all the bugs in it, the one where they hit the speed bump and also jump besides a tree up a bit of a slope. 👍🏻

You have to give credit to Tamiyas marketing team back in the eighties mate..... these videos got us all well and truly hooked, and really were leagues ahead of their game. I used to spend hours watching the screen at the local hobby shop quite literally dribbling whilst the VHS cassette played on a loop.... Lovingly admiring all of the cars that I thought I would never be able to afford! If I could only go back in time and tell my ten year old self that in 37 years time I would actually own an Avante, Egress, 959, Celica GRB, Clod, Pumpkin, Lunchbox, Mud blaster, Blackfoot, Astute, Top force and many many more! Crazy! 😂 👍 👍 👍

Brilliant!! Yeah totally out of reach for many children. What a hobby though to be able to enjoy it as an adult. When parents thought it was likely a fad. Love that you got a great collection together.

@@DustyFingersRC Yes indeed Sir! And, like I say...... Just proves what an impression those old Tamiya videos left on us eh? Their still taking our cash all those years down the line, even with plastic bushes still included! 😂 👍 👍 👍

I watched a load of them a couple months back. Working on a video and this was a quick edit to get something out for a little bit of nostalgic fun. 👍🏻

These are great aren't they? You know I'm not sure if our local model shop was advanced enough to have a video player so I don't think I saw any of these until KZbin was invented. Best wishes mate 😁

I remember just one shop showing them but it wasn't local to me. Like you, I have seen most of them I never seen before here on YT. I wasn't even going to post this, just made it for a bit of fun and my son loved it and told me to post it.
