I've never paid any "shop" to install audio equipment or anything else because most lack the pride of workmanship. I would throw my keys to these guys and not worry a bit. There are some great tips in this video!

Nice, I just installed a 5ch in my 2013 frontier. I used the stinger 6ch RCA cables, they are flat and run nice under carpet. Nice job

Nice work . On a side note, I went to the Japanese local Stereo install place to pick up some things for my stereo install. They don't even use 8 or 4 gauge wire for there amps. Freaking crazy.

Hi five stars I tealy admire your work and such a clean install. I would like some info as I've had a shop install my c2 650 jl Audio compone ts in the front and a jl audio sub using a hertz ep5 amp I wanted them to keep to my stock stereo so they have put a low input converter into it also but I only have 1 set of rca should I have 2 sets of rca's one for the front speakers an d a set for the sub any comments are welcome thank you

Can i install 2 10 inch subs with a final impedance of 2 ohms to my 5 channel amp along with the four door speakers at 4 ohms each? My door speakers are stock corolla (about 20w, 4 ohms) and my subs are 10" kicker compc. My amp is 5 channel z600.5. Please respond guys!

What size spade terminals did you use? I had that same amp professionally installed but they just screwed the stripped wire in for the speaker outputs. I think it looks way cleaner to use terminals, but does it affect the functionality at all?

Love watching you guy's work! I'm trying to install a Sony head unit to a 5 channel amp, on the back of the sony there are 2 rca outs for front speakers and 2 rca out for rear speakers and only a single rca out for subwoofer, do I just run a single rca from head to amp?

Run all of the rca cables to your amplifier. Reason being, the head unit will send a different signal for the front speakers, the rear speakera, and your subwoofer. This way you will get the best sound.

I have a question. I am getting rid of my head unit and have a kappa 5 infinity Bluetooth amp and running four speakers. I also have a BassLink powered sub, infinity as well. There are only high level outputs on the amp. There are rca and high level inputs on the BassLink. What is the best way to connect the two?

Practically, I just "Copy & paste" your installation in my car (Pioneer AVIC-5000NEX / Kicker 5-Channel Amp / iPhone 7).... but, I have a situation: I can't take my phone call using my radio (Radio/ iPhone already paired)!!!I I mean, I can't hear my incoming call through the speakers. It is the wire is Stinger Speed wire. The wire has 4 pairs of speaker wire and a remote wire

I have a 2012 ram with. Rockford Fosgate 5 channel amp. I have 4 component speakers for the doors. I am planning on running new speaker wire direct to the crossovers from the amplifier. If I do this, I just run the 3 sets of rca's and remote wire from head unit to amp, or do I use the 9 wire speed wire? I am pretty sure that I don't need to run separate speaker wire back to the amp if I am running rca for front, rear, and subs correct? it's been years since I have hooked up a system and I don't want any issues....

Yes, if you are running new wires into the doors for the speakers, you will just need RCA's and a remote wire from the radio to the amp.

Very clean. I am considering using speed wire pretty soon. I have an aftermarket HU 4v pre outs and I am seriously considering using speed wire to my DSP rather then RCA'S what's your opinion on this. There will be RCA'S from the DSP to the Amps.

When we do an install we take responsibility for it. If the car has wires run we remove them, check them, and replace if necessary. Then we redo the install. It can be a pain but I'm not a fan of service work.

I connected the amp it's a planet audio 1800.5 the day before yesterday I had 1 speaker in front working and 1 in back and the sub but that's because I didn't hook up all rca's yesterday I connected all 4 rca's and sub separate sub rca but now I have very loud squealing and the sub works but not separate like it did before to where I can turn the sub off and only have the doors playing is it cause I have to mess with the switches to the amp to be able to control the bass up and down and the noise because of bad ground ? I was told at 1 shop it's because bad ground

+Uptown Finest get a good OFC 4 awg. It sounds like the settings may be off. You may also have the gain up a little to high.

Hell-Town-G it depending on the features of the radio. So for example some radios have just 1 RCA output- these radios the RCA is usually a sub/ rear( this means the output is selectable between the 2). Others have 4 RCA outputs-these radios have front and sub/rear. Finally there are radios with 6 RCA outputs- these have front, rear, and sub. With 6 you get front/ rear, left/ right, and sub controls into yours amps. You will need either a 5 channel amp or a 4 channel and a sub amp.
