We had some fun over at VMP Performance stress testing Cody's Bone stock sealed 2007 GT500 fitted with some spicy tuning from Lund Racing and a VMP 2.65L Gen 3 R on 26 PSI.

exactly, “done correctly,” the problem is most people are too cheap to buy a decent setup and they also lack the knowledge to review the data on the car every time you go out beating on it as there aren’t many fail safes on a GT500 compared to the newer technology.

@@tdenver68 07-10 is iron block 5.4, 11-12 aluminum 5.4. 13-14 aluminum 5.8 07-12 is same when running same blower and supporting mods and they're pretty comparable to 13-14 with same blower and supporting mods. This is an 07 so iron 5.4

@@squanchysquanch7525 I don't beleive it ever let go and he ran it at the track alot. Lots of 9 second passes with a manual trans. He eventually built it and now doesn't have the car but the engine never did "grenade hard" far as I know.

I actually prefer the look of the 07-09 car with some aftermarket wheels and tires as well as suspension mods. It ties in the "old muscle car" and modern muscle car perfectly and quite frankly I like front end better. Wondering if you guys are trading in the old 2.3 TVS blowers or selling them at a decent price. I wanna upgrade my 09GT500.

I have a built 5.4 on my truck but I don't think I would push it to 900 hp even though it's rated for +1000. Then again my 5.4 is nothing compared to a 5.4 for a gt500.

Completely stock 07 gt500 engine 5.4 dohc condor motor with the stock blower swapped out for a gen3r...it has full supporting mods and it has an aftermarket upgraded fuel system and id1300s because he is running on e85. The engine itself is completely stock

they can survive 800+ all depends on how you treat it tbh

@@l3anzai28 also depends how its tuned...revving too high can kill em so id keep it not much over 6k on a stock engine it wont suffer much they got tons of midrange power and torque to pull em along. Another thing is the torque hit around 4k if you try to keep that to a minimum they can live at 800. Fuel quality also has alot to do with it.

Stock block stock everything except exhaust and blower change. 921hp 870tq too the tires.This video is for the people that say the stock rods in a 07 too 09 gt500 suck.This proves that the 5.4 can take a ton of power and I guess my 850hp too the tire of my 2010 super snake is conservative. Lol 03 04 cobras take that lol.

Theyre not confident because this car is well above what is considered the "safe" zone for stock engine gt500s. 700-750 is widely considered pretty safe and some go to 800+ with good fuel but this dude was laying down over 900...
