Hunters are so powerful because their ranged attacks can only miss but seemingly never be dodged or parried. Its why hunters can take so much higher level mobs down with ease

I don’t think people understand what went into Classic to make it so cohesive and Immersive. This is called game design. Sadly this information wasn’t naturally available for players and had to be discovered over time. the combat is COMPLETELY different then modern wow.

a mobs defense is 5 times its level. so all bosses have 315 in classic

The systems were awesome. it’s just wasn’t as transparent as it should be. This was hidden information. player’s figured this out.

@@Zutang777 no players didnt "figure it out" it was all guesswork right until the end of Vanilla. It took til Wrath to get rid the Glancing Blow BS and have the character stat menu show how much Hit and Expertise was required for bosses. Def cap requirements were never shown ingame and u always needed a 3rd party source for them until Def skill was removed entirely in Cata.

Hi, thanks for the video mate! I've got caught up into a discussion if the new OEB in SOD (changed to 3 wep. skill and 1% more krit chance) is a nerf or a buff in conjunction with the new +5wep ring rune. From my understanding its a buff to OEB since you get to +8wep skill anyway due to ring rune and get additional krit. But ppl keep mentioning that even when you go beyond +8wep.skill its a damage increase. I think the additional 1% krit on new OEB outweigths that by quite a margin, as the major upside of wep. is to reduce the glancing penality and thats more or less on cap with +8 wep. skill. Do i miss something in my evaluation?

the value of added weapon skill only kicks in at 5 for the miss% and than peaks until at 7-8 for the glancing effect. after that it affects miss and parry by 0.1/skill if you are tanking this could matter. early classic it was thought to affect dodge as well but later testing showed that it was not the case. long story short wepskill between +5 and +8. pushing further might be value for tanks that need very good rng on pulls. i dont know much about SoD class balance but my experience as classic warr is that a 2h is pretty bad for rage generation on the white swings so having +8 to reduce glance penalty and actually generate rage from melee swings is pretty big.
