You personally may not see subtitles as necessary however I have to disagree with your opinion. Here’s why, subtitles provide those who are Deaf or have a hearing impairment with additional accessibility (I am hearing impaired). While I think it isn’t Olga’s responsibility or any other creator to provide them, they help immensely and I personally appreciate their efforts and the time it takes to do so to as it guarantees access to all (Provided that you know and can read the written language which is subtitled) as KZbin doesn’t always have their automatic closed captioning provided on all videos. And I agree that Olga’s level of experience is excellent, there is just much more to subtitles then it being about the creators level of experience or how well they speak that particular language. That’s just my opinion however I needed to make it known so others can try to understand it from another point of view. Anyways, take care and have a nice night/ day.

I follow what is going on in the US Congress closely. Ukrainian aid is going to be severely cut. The question is not if but when. The US Senate has delayed their holiday vacation to debate and vote on Ukrainian (and Israeli and US Border aid) this coming week. Ukrainian aid MAY pass in the US Senate, but will NOT pass in the US House of Representatives. Olga, US aid for Ukraine is not popular among the US population anymore.

I'm a US citizen and I pretty much agree with you. Although we want Ukraine to have freedom and have a democratic government, our national debt is larger than ever at over $33 trillion. We can't just keep on spending at our current rate.

@@MSDOGS1976 It's actually a massive economic boost for the US to pass aid to Ukraine. The vast majority of the many billions of aid so far has been in the form of transfer of old (but capable) equipment to Ukraine and subsequent purchase of new equipment for the US military with the released funds. It's NOT in the form of cash transfers (or a blank check), even though the republicans like to say it is. Economically, it makes no sense at all to be against aid to Ukraine, in fact, you should want as much aid to Ukraine as possible, as that will mean more orders for US manufacturers to make replacement equipment.

Western aid is being sent to punish Putin more than it is to help Ukraine. Every month that the war continues, Russia's military gets weaker, which is the main reason for sending aid. Showing support for Ukraine also is meant as a warning to China about not trying to "annex" Taiwan.

It's two months late, but I'm interested in answering the question. As a seasoned US Army veteran, I think both are true. It is only in our best interest to fight Putin because we fear a war with Russia, so we also, naturally, feel sympathy with a country who is at war with Russia. It is as Zelensky says. Ukraine fights for the world. Other countries are often caught in the middle of larger geopolitical issues, and the US has been quite greedy in the past without considering the cost to those caught in the middle, but helping fight this war is probably the one clearly right thing we've done in a long time.
@tekpic04 Жыл бұрын
Sorry to bust your bubble, Olga, but Western countries only give aid to Ukraine for their agenda and not for the it's people. The major powers have invested interest in taking all the very fertile land across all regions and the resources it has it. To sum it up in this world, there always a price when a person or country accepts a gift for free and others expects something major in return.
@technoartfest8708 Жыл бұрын
indeed, The west pay money for absolutely everything in Ukraine ,from pensions to civilians to salaries and weapons to soldiers ,not because they care about ukraine citizens , but so that kiev government could continue fighting for as long as possible russia. Is the same old scenario of the soviet -afghan war.. they bribed the afghan president convinced him to provoke Soviet Russia into invading and then gave weapons . That way the west will not had the need to directly fight Russia and save a lot of money because will not need to do it themselves. So zelensky sold out ukraine future , for money. Zelensky though that Ukraine could defeat Russia with NATO help. So indeed it was a major blunder , that im sure today he regret, Ukraine without a doubt will be an example for the world to see ,to never allow the Americans or British to use your country as a battlefield for NATO to fight Russia. This war could have been avoided in many ways and no territory lost at all , not even crimea , if the right wing parties who took control of Kiev in 2014 with violent protest , refused to start major provocations and did not listen the west and did not started a major campaign of hate violating all the security interest of Russia and anyone who speak the language.
