I think the error in your thesis is in believing that there is an entity called europe, and a further entity called usa both of whose wellbeing is dependent on the wellbeing of the other. But both of those entities consist of priveleged groups and non priveleged groups, whose state of wellbeing can differ. The overall size of the cake might shrink, but a bigger slice of a smaller cake can still mean greater wealth and power for the oligarcs Isn't that what the WEF great reset was/is about? European and USA oligarchs don't even have to conspire to work together, they can independently get richer just by robbing their own native 'peoples', then compare notes and draw lines not to be crossed at their next cosy WEF get- together

I disagree. EU Net-Zero policies are their downfall. That’s what made Russian oil sanctions so painful, but only one of half a dozen causes. The EU are architects of their own demise.
