Hi, Sachin I don't exactly know the dimensions they don't check the dimensions at airport, just the weight. All electronics must be in the cabin bag or laptop bag. Carry your camera in the cabin you can put it in the shoulder bag. Every electronic item including your toothbrush must be in cabin or laptop bag. If you think you have any fragile electronic item you can wrap it in any cloth and put in the cabin or laptop bag. Regards

In Dubai they didn’t allowed me to carry 2 bags in cabin. They have one bag policy. I carried one laptop bag and a cabin bag. They said you can only carry one bag in cabin. So they placed my cabin bag with checkin bags. They didn’t charge anything extra for that.

Hi Jaspreet, you can take these things in your checkin bags. You can not take these things in your cabin bag, laptop bag or purse. As you can checkout in my video that I took all these things and nobody stopped me. But please confirm from the airline’s guideline in which you are planning to fly.

Hi Tejashwini, Just keep all your meds and lotions etc in the checkin bags. The 100ml limit is for the cabin bag only. In checkin bags you can take bigger bottles. Keep your docs prescription with you in case they ask you.

Hi jiya, you can carry food items ( dry items like channa, dal, dry fruits and any spices etc) no need to wrap in black plastic. You can’t carry fruits or green vegetables and the stuff which is white in color like atta, sugar, salt etc.

Hi Harsimran, Thanks but I'm already in Canada. My flight was Air India from Delhi to Dubai and Air Canada from Dubai to Toronto. This is very strange, they said that to you or written somewhere? I carried one cabin bag (8 Kg) one laptop bag and even one hand bag (Ladies side purse). At Dubai airport they didn't allow me to take cabin bag in the cabin, they took that bag and place it with the other check-in bags. Otherwise no one said that why I'm carrying 3 bags in cabin.

May be this is because of the new luggage policy. Now airlines are allowing only one check-in bag. And it depends on flight to flight. Request them on call and tell them that you are a student and need to carry important stuff. Last year one of my friends called the airline (Air Canada) and they allowed her an extra 23kg check-in bag free of cost (three in total).

I’m sorry I can’t help you with that. But I can tell you that there are only 3 sizes available in the market. One is Cabin bag (8 kg) one is checkin bag (23kg) and one is extra large checkin bag (32kg). They don’t check the size of the bag just the weight. Cabin bag size must be as per the airline guidelines sometimes they check sometimes they don’t.

Hi Prabhdeep, When I moved from India to Canada in Dec 2022 I carried two 23kg check-in bags, one cabin bag 8kg, one laptop bag and one purse (Big side bag). They didn't say anything about carrying 3 bags in cabin. But keep this in mind from Jan 2023 airlines changed there luggage policies. I don't know about now but back then there was a big information board at Delhi airport where clearly written that laptop bag and ladies purse is allowed with the cabin bag.

No, covid test is not mandatory but It all depends on the time. But you need fully vaccination certificate (2 dose) here in Canada for some of the jobs. They asked me for certificate where I’m working.

Hi Gunpreet, actually we did last min packing. Online delivery was taking time to deliver and at our local market bags was not available at the moment. So we decided to go for big clear plastic bags. Which was almost the same, the only challenge was to vacuum that bags but we managed.

Yes laptop bag is separate which is not included in the cabin bag’s weight limit. Pack you cabin bag with 7 kg stuff. And put all you electronic items in the laptop bag ( Like Laptop, power bank, charges, and other electronic stuff) they will you weigh your laptop bag.

Hi Ekta, let me clear some of your doubts. Firstly every airline has different rules for the baggage. So ask for the rules if you are traveling with any airline other than Air India. I traveled with Air India they allow me to carry cabin bag, 2 checkin bags 23 kg each and a laptop bag (which was not mentioned on ticket). Then I heard that airline allow girls to carry a side bag too ( like a ladies purse ) so I carried that also. These are not comes under any extra luggage. But from jan 2023 rules are changed now so confirm from the airline about the extra laptop bag. But I’m sure about the ladies bag that you can carry that.

Yes I did online checking, you can do that 24h before your flight. You can select a free seat during your online checking. But you have to take the physical boarding pass from the airport. I got the boarding passes from Delhi for next flight too. But at Dubai airport I had to take the boarding pass again. They didn’t allow me to board the flight on the same boarding pass.

You can't carry sharp objects and heavy metal which can be used as a weapon. You can be stopped at security. You can carry in cabin but if they will ask you then you have to convince them that why are you carrying him with you in cabin. Sometimes they allow, sometimes they don't so its your call.

That is not specific. It depends on the flight and the mood of the checkin person. If they think you are carrying extra than they will ask you to remove the extra stuff other than electronics. I mostly carried all the electronic items in the laptop bag. My tiffin and some cosmetics like mandatory things. It should look realistic.

No they didn’t check or ask for any prescription. But I had all the prescriptions from doctor and all the bills of the meds. If you have too many meds only then they ask and check. Just put all the meds in black plastic bag.

Hi Raz, I didn’t check the size just bought by checking Cabin bag and 28kg capacity checkin bag. Checkin bag comes in two sizes one is for 28kg and another is for 32 kg which is slightly bigger. Not sure in cm.
