I agree with those saying mega casting for huge cost savings and also a huge reduction in parts, which the Model 3 is going to through now with Project Highland. Model 2/A will likely be a hatch form factor, similar to a VW Polo, maybe come in a two door for cost savings. So, to save costs the back seats are not going to be comfortable for adults. I also predict we'll see 350km range to save battery cost. Also, RWD as you stated for a useable frunk.

"Model 2" whould be hatchback and Model 3 from Germany (if it's still planned) should be station wagon IMO. It would be perfect for Europe!

My guess: It will be a bit shorter then M3, but a bit higher for the head room, and indeed with a hatchback with a good frunk. Octovalve and HP for sure, LFP battery of approx 50-55 Kwh, maybe even a 45kWh battery for the city dwellers. No electric seats, no electric lift-gate but similar simple interior then in M3.

Eliminating the front motor will not only increase cargo space and enable shorter length, it also will allow Tesla to offer a tighter turning radius. My Model Y’s huge turning radius makes it awkward to maneuver in tight spaces.

I suspect it'll be a small crossover because that's what sells these days. A Model Y is about 4.75m so something around 4.4m or so might work... something sized and priced to compete with the Atto 3/ZS EV/Kona/Niro maybe?

When Tesla say 25k, this is *before sales taxes*. So in most parts of the world this will cost 30k plus for the buyer. There are already good long range BEVs priced below this (e.g. MG4 LR), so Tesla will be behind the curve on value. Main USP will be supercharger network.

i think they will ho for 50kWh LFP and a real consumption of 110-120Wh/km because Elon does not want any Tesla to go below 250mi/400km. and less power with RWD only. maybe like 260HP. smaller trunk and frunk and about 30cm shorter than the model 3. but leg room in back not less than model 3.

With no front motor, that would leave room for the battery pack to extend more to the front. With LFP batteries, slight intrusion to the front crumble zone would probably be OK due to lower fire risk.

If they can hit $25k, they’re undercutting mg4 by $5k, id3 by about $15k! That would shake things up SO much! Not sure Vw can make profits if they’re forced to lower prices that much.

I think it could be a slightly raised hatchback, and structural battery, but maybe 40-50kWh. Not sure they will announce it on March 1st though… maybe they’ll announce a new model 3 Megacast, structural battery… maybe a little cheaper?

I also think that it could be named Tesla Model A because of SEXY C(A)RS and it has to have a good turning radius around 10m or less because that’s a real problem for smaller older countries and parking in cities.
