I lost my wife 7 weeks ago today (41 years together). I don’t care if we don’t have rings or are considered married in Heaven. As long as she is near and we are worshipping God together Heaven will be that much more like paradise for me. I will forever yearn for that day.

IMO (Hope) I will love God more than anything else. I will love my spouse more than any of the remaining. I don't think I'd should forget a gift of God of whom I''ve loved over 40 years. That would be a great loss even if I couldn't remember. I don't think that is in God's character. We remember people we've never met! Abraham was knowin by a man born centuries later after Abraham's death.

Here are my thoughts. When we die, our spirits immediately go to heaven (as Christians), but in scripture it states that a thousand years on earth is but a day in Heaven. Since Jesus' time, it's only been about 2 days in Heaven. So it is very quick for those in Heaven to already have their resurrected bodies with the rest of us who have joined them either through death or the rapture. I believe when we get to Heaven after meeting Jesus, there is a grand reunion with everyone we love here on earth. We will be able to spend as much time with them as we want and as often as we want, but eternity is well, forever. There will be so many people to meet and so much to see and learn and we will be busy rejoicing in the presence of our Lord that we won't have the desire to only be with a few people, our spouse included. Our love will be equally shared by everyone so no one person will be more or less loved than those we love on earth. Anyway, these are my thoughts on the topic. Some day, we will know for sure.

The Bible states clearly that there is no marriage in Heaven. The only 'marriage ' that will be is the marriage supper of the Lamb.

I’m so sorry to hear about that. Regardless of what God has in store for you, remember it will be the best even if it’s something you’re not currently thinking of. A good relieving truth I tell myself is in the New Heavens and New Earth, there won’t be anything sinful going on and currently right now we haven’t experienced a moment even if it’s just 1 second of life in a pure Godly environment without sin. Another thing I tell myself is even if in eternity we can hug and kiss a person of the opposite sex (which will be more loving there than in this life) it will never come close to the excitement of hugging and kissing the Lord who created everybody. As I’m still living my life, I’ve been developing some understanding of how being in a relationship with the Lord is more pleasurable than the desires of human romance. I’m pretty sure you will kiss and hug your husband again in the next life and remember… if you do, it will be better and satisfying there than it was in this life. Take care! 🙏😊

Hello "S", Your question deserves more than the "Angels in Heaven" line. Fist of all, I am very sorry for your loss. A lot of surviving spouses suffer horribly when their life's partner passes away. And one passes through the phases of getting over a loved one's departure. People even blame God for that. Why did God take her from me? What have I -- we done to deserve this. Well, you've done nothing wrong. God is not like that. Like you, he is a loving and kind father. He is your Father in Heaven. Let that sink in for a moment. What does that suggest, without saying it? Yes we know it logically, but we know nothing from the scriptures about her. But yet logic tells us she must exist. Now that you know this, let's see some spiritual Biblical logic. When did God spell it out for Jeremiah? "Before I formed thee in the belly, I knew thee,..." God knew Jeremiah before he was conceived. Jeremiah has a spiritual form that existed before his conception in the womb of his mortal mother. Jeremiah's spirit body was placed in his mortal body at the time of conception. Both the spirit, and the body are the soul of man. "S" You and your lovely wife were soulmates in a pre-existent life where you were taught by The Savior about the next step in our eternal progression: we had to come to this earth, into mortality, to learn to live by faith before we could move on There we could see God, Here we could not. We fought to come here! You loved each other that much You are here because you fought on God's side in that War in Heaven. You both won, but Lucifer wants to take your promises from God, a resurrected God Like Immortal body having Eternal Life, with all its features, and benefits, namely someone who really cares about you So "S", find the missionaries of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. And they will tell you why we build Temples. The short version is that Jesus knew that to be together there, you had to be married here by someone who had the binding and sealing power of the Melchizidek Priesthood and the keys to use them to bind people together in the next life in a new and everlasting Covenant of Eternal Marriage, here. It has to be done here; before the end of the millennium. God wants you to have what God and our Heavenly Mother have together. To think otherwise is just plain ungodly. We know she exists because she is mentioned in passing. There is just too much going on in the Old Testament to not come to the inescapable conclusion that there are more than one deities there which are one in purpose. God himself suggests there are other Gods when he remarks that He is a jealous God. Thou shalt have no other Gods before me...likewise, one has to twist the scriptures in order to make God The Father, God The Son and God the Holy Ghost be a Three Headed entity ". . And the Gods said: Let there be light. So, just because she isn't listed as a "She" She has to be there." I surmise "The Holy Ghost" is probably the she. And to me that's more like it. That's Robin's head talking, not The Church . It is possible to be sealed to your passed-on Spouse in the Temple.
