All respect to Caitlyn Clark, she is as exciting and dominant a player in her league as you will see, but she would have no shot in the NBA. Even with a lights out jumper she would struggle with the sheer speed/pace. Even Jimmer Fredette, who plays similar to Clark in many ways, struggled in the league despite having crazy range.

People don't understand that the limiting factor for taking the "next step" (like like High school to College, DII to DI, Semi-pro to pro, Euro to NBA) is RARELY ever a person's ability to score or play offense. It's ALWAYS defense and your ability to stay healthy with the physicality. I've yet to see a woman who could physically compete with men at the highest levels. Their bodies would just simply not hold up (not to mention they wouldn't be able to guard ANYONE). Offensively, sure. Maybe there's a handful of females who could get a few buckets in an NBA (maybe). But it would just be silly overall because they'd get 50+ dropped on them every night and they'd probably suffer pretty significant injuries within a couple weeks.

Sometimes people forget that even if you take a woman who is exactly the same size and weight as a man, the man will still be stronger because of the different muscle fibres we have. Not only that, a woman might be the same weight but she will have more of that weight as fat than the guy even when they are both elite athletes so again, the guy will be much much stronger. Not to mention testosterone that makes the men more aggressive and have stronger bursts of strength. Caitlin is still a damn beast though and there is no need to compare her to male basketball players at all.

Paige is a more skilled player than Clark....better handles, mid range game and can play defense......she takes better shot selections and shoots better %.......Paige is a franchise player.....Clark is only exciting to watch shoot logo 3s .....

respectfully a top 0.1% wnba player would get destroyed by any nba player

she needs to start winning title games...alls I'm saying lol

Just watched the LSU v IOWA game for reference. At 6' even and slight of build you have to be inhaling in some serious 420 to think Ms. Clark could play in the NBA.

Wisconsin Denise Long nice for UW??

i honestly think she could be a really solid role player, she would be a bit of a liability on defense but if she was on a team that could use a shooter that has good defense (namely celtics and bucks for contenders)

no.
@justinholland6132 Жыл бұрын
Maybe if she was taller or a better defender but i can't think of a successful nba player who was a good shooter but not good enough to create their own shot against good defenders and was a terrible defender themselves.

There’s ZERO need to compare to women’s basketball to men’s basketball. Both are entertaining!

There is a need when people always say one is better than the other. Both are entertaining tho
@Romanus- Жыл бұрын
The wnba is not entertaining. That’s why no one watches and they lose 10 million yearly

I was there in Springfield, Massachusetts when Nancy Liberman-Klein was put in a game with professional men. She lasted just a few inept minutes, She was way (literally) out of her league.

She could probably play in the nba… during the 1940s…..

grreat vid bro! she's skinny, 6'0 with a low release. no chance. let alone finish at the rim. I think some people dont realise how elite the NBA players all are these days. 30 years ago its a different story, but today is sooooo competitive.

@joshyg4260 Жыл бұрын
Trae Young is one of the best offensive players in the league but isn't even a good NBA player because of how detrimental his defense is. This is such a silly question.
@andyfam56139 ай бұрын
Women's ball is smaller. Women's 3 point line is closer to the rim. She's 6ft which is really short in the nba. Can she handle the culture around men? A lot of this crap is more about equality than skill.

Funniest part about the BG vs cousins thing was that Geno actually coached BG in 2016
@archyleach28 күн бұрын
Here chance to play in the nba would be entirely based on passing ability, which is truly elite. This would have to overcome all the physical difficulties
