Look at the Derrick rose situation it’s a perfect example. The bulls traded Derrick rose away before it was too late when they could’ve gotten a huge haul for him. They had another rising star in jimmy butler, but couldn’t build around jimmy properly cause rose was taking up so much of the cap. The pelicans have another decent young player in Brandon Ingram, and if they trade Zion they could properly build around Ingram instead of waiting for Zion to return from injury every season, just like the bulls did with rose.

you can't feel bad for people who put themselves in that situation. You get paid a huge amount in return for being constantly talked about and scrutinised. If you get hurt feelings then i wouldn't think you would ever be mentally tough enough for a chapionship team. Everyone should get off social nedia

2:10 Kobe was 34. Thomas was 27. Reed was 28. Zion is only 22 years old. He got injured because of his weight, lost weight and still got hurt. That's def gotta hurt his mental

Ya know…Zion could turn his phone off, deactivate his accounts, uninstall some apps, etc. I don’t think the social media aspect is a “must”. He could be a ghost on social media and just play ball. Sure, less fan interaction, but that might be what you want anyway. It was good enough 30 years ago- it’s enough now to play in front of thousands of fans. Take back control of your life.

Bro doing same as Kawhi👀👀. Zion to the knicks man. Knicks got assest and picks ready for him. Hate to say. He gonna rejoin RJ and well there they go.

Not the smallest similarity. Kawhi always in shape, tried to adjust physically (muscles around his knees). Injury prone for sure but dedicated. Zion overweight.

This video really puts the modern day into perspective. I really think sports is too individualized today. Everything used to be about the team or pride of the school. Most of these players have more followers than entire franchises which is insane to me. If I was a superstar athlete I would probably have to stay off of social media

Hamstring injury can be tricky, CP3 took 2 years to recover and Harden came back too early and took a major dmg to his career. Only upside is Zion is young but next contract might be his last max

I don’t think what he was saying was interpreted correctly. I feel like he meant that although he is physically fine in terms of injury he is not back to 100% of his athleticism and not ready to play well. He would rather come back at an allstar level than be a 3rd option

That’s the issue, Zion was just a social media phenomenon. There are media creations like Jeremy Lin and there are social media creations like Zion.

Let's not start the Ben Simmon's narrative with Zion. I don't wanna see this kid get destroyed by online BS and media. He seems like a good kid and I wanna see this dude succeed in this league.

Hot take: The 1970 Lakers should have somehow mustered a way to regroup for the final 47 minutes of that game. Yes, sure, they were shook when Reed came out of the tunnel, Wilt was almost too astounded to play. Ok, so the home crowd was energized for a while. Then what? It was a Game 7 of the Finals--the Lakers couldn't find a way to refocus and motivate themselves for a Game 7 of the Finals?? They were broken because someone scored 4 points at the beginning of the game? The mythicization of the Willis Reed story is so much more dramatic than what actually happened.

He’s a football player playing basketball! His frame is meant for football. Hence why he gets so many injuries. His big body isn’t meant for high flying but more for running and thumping ie football

I feel really bad for kids today. I'm an 80s baby and 90s kid. When is started high school we had a computer room that had like 7 computers running Windows 95. Having a PC in your house back then was something rich kids had. Now everyone from like 6 years old and up have tech I couldn't even dream of back then in their pockets. Social media was a mistake, and what I mean by that is that we are not mature enough as a species to allow everyone to be able to say anything they want to anyone else like is possible with social media. A KZbinr named Motown Noah said some stupid shit as a literal child online and later became a rather successful KZbinr. People dug up the stupid things that he said as a child and used that to try to ruin his life a decade later. That's fucked up. Kids aren't able to grow anymore. We as a people need to grow, we need to make mistakes so that we can learn what repercussions are. What not to do. What to do. How to handle different situations. Those lessons come from failure. From doing and saying stupid shit. But kids aren't allowed to learn those lessons anymore. Kids today are judged from the moment they are able to post by people who were able to learn lessons and judged poorly and punished forever because they haven't learned those lessons yet. How do you expect them to learn, to grow if they aren't able to experience, to make mistakes, to say or do stupid shit? Social media can be beautiful. It really can. But more often than not... at least lately, social media feels like a mistake that we aren't mature enough to have.

Giannis talked about mental health. Fans are so harsh sometimes. As a Raptors fan I see how much Fred VanVleet and Pascal Siakam got destroyed in social media. I don’t think people realize how difficult it is to grow in such an environment.

Mental health should be something that the NBA and all the franchises focus on because I think the problem is way bigger… talk it old-ass-time attitude that men do not b*tch about being depressed or they just think people would laugh at them and start hazing then too much…. Or something like that..
@tedavidson Жыл бұрын
Zion and Ben are two totally different scenarios in my opinion. Zion is more concerned with injuring himself again and not putting himself in a situation where he’ll end his career while Simmons simply just doesn’t care to play the game or improve his skills. Not saying Zion is in the right for his decision but I can somewhat understand his reason.

Owner should have authority to terminate the contract, If the player is just lazy not to play on the court. These kinda of players doesn't deserved a big contract.
