As a friend pointed out after watching the video: I am absolutely irredeemable at math. If you notice, you notice. See ya! EDIT: as "Mdln-co8vx" noticed (or at least noticed and commented first) so allow me to clarify: I wanted to say that Meruem is at least DOUBLE (or 100%) stronger than Netero, not 50%. The Hisoka point rating is as I intended, the presented math is not since I have the math skills of a 6th grader).

3:54 If it is representative is not certain it could be representative but i could just as well be that hisoka had bad luck with testing those 7 candidates. That is the case because 7 is just a number that is to small to be considered representative.

I don't think it's reasonable to assume that hisokas number ratings are proportionate. In my mind a 5 is significantly less than "half" of hisokas strength.

It's a definite possibly. We don't know how gradual his scaling is. I wanted to bring it up, but it entirely slipped my mind. While it would've been good to mention it, I don't think it's a huge loss, since we really don't have enough to go on.

I think Nov would be around that 6.5 mark, but I think it’s clear that morel is significantly more capable, at least on a combat level

Maybe yes, but Morel's prowess comes from strategy and a really versatile ability, not so much from pure strength. So I still belive he would be weaker than all the zodiacs by some margen, which is why people would understimate him. While Netero knows how capable he and his disciples are to fight people much MUCH stronger than them.

@@roguesoul5051 I genuinely don't think a 120-year-old rusty Netero who's lost more than half of his former power is overwhelmingly stronger than Hisoka. While I think Netero still wins owing to his experience and sheer skill level, I don't think he stomps like he would've when he prepped for Meruem.

I think the Netero that fought Meruem smokes every person we've seen in the show so far without too much difficulty, that we know of anyways... Hisoka included. Meruem just breaks the scale lmao.

Yes. If zeno regards him as the strongest fighter he has ever met, its safe to assume he IS the strongest fighter out there. Specially since he has been taking challenges for decades and not ever losing, even against the zoldycks

Don't bully the poor 0.2 guy, maybe he has a great Hatsu, which is just not suited for Nen combat. After all, Hisoka is just looking for a good opponent to fight :(

1:40 One thing I notice about the selection here is the prevalence of 1’s. One other thing I notice here is the outliers. There’s a 5, a 4.5, and 3. Substantially higher. If you remove those 3 highest and average them, you’d get around 4. But then the average for the rest plummets to around 1. So, I’d say that you could probably place hunters into a scale or brackets of power, with some low-tier scrubs at 1, some mid-tiers at 4, some high tiers at say 7, and then the zodiacs at 8.5 as the elite of the elite. And then Hisoka at the top as a 10. 5:31 Oh shit, that high tier guess was the exact average of your educated bounds, lolololol

I think you missing that hisoka is a very biased person. He is only interested in a fun fight not a strong opponent. Also he would hate nov as he would run from a fight.

The only reason Meruem took any damage from Netero's first hit is because he didn't have Ren up. He took zero damage from the rest of Netero's regular attacks, and when Netero put 100% of his Aura into one big blast (with conditions boosting it), it only moderately injured Meruem. On top of that, Meruem was holding back the entire time, careful not to kill Netero. I'd put Meruem 10x stronger than Netero, minimum. I'm personally leaning towards 100x.

But without the pillars Meruem has literally zero chances to hit Netero. Plus he took minimum damage after like 50-100 hits. If the fight had continued Netero would have won because I don't see him losing a stamina battle. This man literally prayed 2 years straight.

@@memebase6652if meruem wasnt trying to get netero to verbally submit (as opposed to just killing him), then meruem could have used his own nen abilities and blast him to oblivion (as he was an emmiter). The pillarse helped him. But in the long run he would have figured out a way.

about those 7 no names, maybe they are highly proficient hunters and highly skilled nen users but not combat oriented. It's really posiblee to have someone like a lost languages hunter who's nen allows him to enhance his understanding of any language spoken to him. He could even be a master like komugi at it. That still doesnt make him a fighter thus the 2.4 rating. Hunter are from all walks of life not just fighters.

I’m not sure why it makes sense to assume that the ant slaying practice in Knov’s apartment + the meditation brought Netero up to near his prime. I think all that can be said is that Netero prepared himself as best he could given the time constraints. No real way to estimate how strong he was vs Meruem compared to his prime. Also it makes very little sense from my perspective to consider happy-go-lucky Hunter exam arc Netero as only marginally stronger than Hisoka like I saw you mention in another comment. Not sure how you got there! Great video tho

Off-Topic, but i just thought: Man, Meruem not finding himslef interested in Nen is relatively understandably because of his mighty Base-Stats, but none of his Royal Guard ever tried to Insist hee put minmal Effort into learning an Emergency-Ability like Teleport - which would in fact have saved his Life. Even funnier, none of them havee an Ability 'reacting' to anything Meruem has or is

I wonder what kind of justifiction / copium Hisoka uses to explain why he doesn't want to fight Netero, Gin or other people who are at the highest level. Does he realise that he is outclassed and thus it's not an interesting fight and risking it not worth it? Or they are not cute in his mind and thus not interesting?

I know it's not canon, but I still think the databooks do a decent job of ranking certain characters' stats. It is pretty well established that even a diminished Netero was the strongest human character we had seen in the manga. And remember, he also trained from the time he arrived in the NGL to the time he fought Meruem, so he was higher than 50% at that point. Even then, he was a 5/5 in all 6 categories from the databook, for a total of 30. In my headcanon, he was basically peak human at that point, with his prime self surpassing human limits. These are the rankings of the most prominent characters: Netero - Spirit: 5 | Skill: 5 | Strength: 5 | Nen: 5 | Talent: 5 | Intelligence: 5 == 30 Bisky - Spirit: 5 | Skill: 4 | Strength: 5 | Nen: 4 | Talent: 4 | Intelligence: 4 == 26 Chrollo - Spirit: 5 | Skill: 4 | Strength: 4 | Nen: 4 | Talent: 4 | Intelligence: 4 == 25 HISOKA - Spirit: 3 | Skill: 4 | Strength: 4 | Nen: 4 | Talent: 5 | Intelligence: 4 == 24 *********** Razor - Spirit: 4 | Skill: 4 | Strength: 4 | Nen: 4 | Talent: 4 | Intelligence: 4 == 24 Morel - Spirit: 4 | Skill: 4 | Strength: 4 | Nen: 4 | Talent: 3 | Intelligence: 4 == 23 Kite - Spirit: 4 | Skill: 4 | Strength: 4 | Nen: 4 | Talent: 3 | Intelligence: 4 == 23 Knov - Spirit: 2 | Skill: 4 | Strength: 4 | Nen: 4 | Talent: 3 | Intelligence: 4 == 21 There are some notable changes I would make, like bump up Chrollo's and Hisoka's intelligence to 5 each, making their totals 26 and 25, respectively. I would probably make other changes as well, but the gist seems relatively accurate for these characters. In short, I would put Hisoka in the same tier as Bisky, Chrollo, Razor, Morel, and Kite, with any one of them being the winner in a 1 on 1 match, depending on the circumstance and environment. I would also put Black Whale 1 Kurapika in this tier, though we don't have any stats since 2004.

Tbh, I think Kanzai is just a little too cocky. Not like he's the brightest either Also being a hunter is not always about combat, so the Zodiacs might be the best of their field but not in combat Even Pariston thinks Cheedle isn't all that when it comes to combat

i dont think the average hunter is low its just that hisoka rates himself as 5 times more powerful than the average nen user. i also rate morel higher than know around a 9 because his hatsu is more versitile and he was going toe to toe with a royal guard who i rate as around 15 to 20. as for netero who is easily above 30 as for meruem he is at least 50 . remeber meruem was considered an existenciel crisis for humanity that the world government had to react to him that it took a nuke to kill him. he has so much going for him from his potentiel to broken hatsu to regeneration. he is easily 5 times stronger than hisoka i dont think the government ever saw hisoka as that much of a threat. hisoka would probably struggle against silva or razor . obviously hisoka would disagree with me but we all know he overrates himself a bit.

Id give my rankings here! But note, im working under the assumption, these arent linear values, and that a 10, isnt what hisoka is, but where his ideal standard is, also, this is nen quality, which doesnt ential combat ability, but simpy how pronounced there aura is (or essentially theyre mastery/potentially output) Hisoka himself = 10, because he would enjoy fighting himself greatly, and has great nen mastery and output efficiency Chrollo = 10, hisoka is far more interested in chrollo than almost any other character (ignoring potentials in characters like gon) Morel = 7.5, he will beat morel, but find him interesting, but lackluster in output, but intriguing with his intellect Netero = 8, his output in even post training is below the royal gaurd, and he spars with the zodiacs reigulary (but this doesnt imply a speed, or hax, just output efficiency and mastery) Ging = 12, he will find ging to have rivaling nen output since gon and killua are 1-10m talents, ging represents that talent manifsted at minimum (and we seen adult gon) Royals = 11.5, theyre above netero in nen quality, and should have higher output than hisoka, but arguably less or just as efficient as hisoka God speed killua = 8.5, strong nen quality (stated to rival squandron leaders in base) but God speed doesnt affect his output directly only the literal substance of his aura, with very strong hax But simply put: Hisoka ≈ the royal gaurd in term's of 1 on 1 combat Royals > Hisoka in aura quality

If 10 means you are equal. Bisky was the only one above 10 when Hisoka, Gon, Killika, and Bisky were on a Dodgeball team. The leader of Hisokas group while holding back was above Silver, but below Zeno. His true power is likely above Zeno. Zenos father being stronger than him. The Yokai girl is the strongest character in the anime. Not sure about the comics.

Dont think the Zodiacs are necessarily the best nen users from the association in combat aspects. Pehaps Kanzai, Ginta, Botobai end Sayuu would be the upper ranks on this aspect, with over 8.2 scores, with the others bellow (besides Ging of course, who most likele is above Illumi). I personally think Morel is on lvl with them, with something around a 7.7 to 7.9, be could easily fill the boar seat

Netero would have to be around a 1.5 before training or a 2 after training. Morel, despite definitely being a top tier in the verse would probably be like a 7. Also i told you that you timed your series perfectly Edit: damn i was on point ngl

Man im dumb or what, u said meruem was atleast 50% stronger than netero, 50% from 16 means 8, 16+8=24 , if meruem its a 32 that mean hes twice stronger than netero, that means 100%

also sorry for being rude but meruem is 100x stronger or 50x cuz even netero's strongest attack didnt do any fatal dmg and meruem was fighting without a king and a queen basically fighting a battle with no limbs and he couldnnt kill netero so netero could tell him his name i say meruem is atleast 50x stronger and he didnt use any nen

This guy has the biggest L takes in the history of KZbin. Last video he went Knov is the LVP, this video he went Netero is an 8. Brother, Netero would win a fight against Hisoka or Illumi any day. My brother has overlooked Netero’s feats, in his prime he survived the dark continent, and it was implied that Gin is stronger than the rest of the Zodiac, and Gin doesnt know if he can survive the dark continent. Also Old Man Netero’s attack is ONCE EVERY 0.1 Second. You are being ridiculous to assume he is an 8 compared to Hisoka being a 10. Hisoka lost to Chrollo, you think Netero would lost to Chrollo? I will not watch any of your L videos anymore, you are absolutely making the biggest L takes in order to get attention. Ciao.

@@nothanksthough Morel did say he wasn't a fighter primarily, while speking with Teredin. This unlike Hisoka whose whole being is subsumed in combat. To go with this, he was rated at the lowest proficiency rank by Togashi. Dude's incredibly skilled with his Hatsu, incredibly creative, of an indomitable spirit, and a general badass. He is, however, not a Zodiac-tier fighter or Nen user (in both my and Kanzai's estimation).
