Thank you for this video. I decided to be a minimalist last year and I got my closet down from 300 pieces of clothing to about 50. I'm so happy I decided to take this journey.

Jeez, I've literally never owned 50 peices of clothing at one time. I plan to start this minimalist thing soon. I think it's clear, I will be one of the more extreme examples as all of my belongings already fit in one pickup truck load and I can't wait to throw out all my extra junk. lol

I can tell you, it's a relief when you live from your parents home. I was in the exact same position as you a few months ago, and I always felt it was out of my control. Since I moved here I've come to realise there's a lot that can be improved and it doesn't feel daunting anymore. Also it's all my stuff so I can actually clean without asking family members ! :)

what you also can do: 1. if you really like collecting, find one kind of things you want to collect (lipsticks, postcards, parfums, cds) only one so you can have fun but you don't start accidently buying too much of everything 2. Declutter your social media: how many friends on Facebook are absolutly unnecessary? Who do I really want to follow on Twitter, Instagram or KZbin? it's so relaxing when you aren't spamed by content you don't want to see anymore. 3. spent more money on fun activities than on things Hope it was helpful and excuse any mistakes, I learned english at school! XD

As far as Facebook friends are concerned. I have 75 facebook friends. I do not accept friend requests from just anyone. If they are in my friends list, I am either related to them or personal friends with them or have some connection to them whether it be High school, Military Service, Employment, etc. That's how you Minimize Facebook.

That's so true about investing in your everyday basics and not a lot for special occasion clothes... I get the cheapest basic t-shirts and jeans and tank tops and they always get ruined because I wear them out, but my $200 dress I wore ONCE is still in perfect shape. Makes no sense, great tip and I'm a new subscriber!

I am exploring minimalism and am very surprised at how mature your ideas around minimalism are. I have to admit, I almost didn't watch your video because I saw you were so young, and I thought your videos would be shallow...I know...I know... I have three young kids, work part time and am studying three subjects at uni. I have tried to keep organised by using my ipad, a very expensive Kiki K diary and various notebooks. I saw your video on how you stay organised and loved the black wire with brown paper notes, so practical and effective! I am very visual and am going to give it a go. Love your videos, especially the minimalist series. Look forward to the next upload :-)

Glad to see I'm not the only one who view relationships, friendships, etc. this way. People have told me I'm too "rigid" and "robotic" regarding relationships with other people, but I usually explain my attitude by saying that I want to focus my energy on the people who actually care for me and bring positivity into my life rather than someone who simply drains me.
