Things you need to hear come at the right time. My my wife and I own a photography/marketing business with the love to travel. Every trip we take, we document it so share with our friend. We give them pointers on their next trip and help them book. My passion got a lot stronger when I found your channel a couple years ago. I started researching every ship or port you talked about, to the point that my wife said all you do is talk about cruising why don't you just learn to sell them. Long story short, last month I signed up to be a Travel Agent to take not only my passion of cruising but photography together and create something. I have to personal thank you for pushing me with out even knowing me (I was hoping to meet you in the Mardi Gras out of NYC sailing) maybe one day I'll join the space of Cruise media.

It is often said “It’s only work if you would rather be doing something else”. Sounds like you have made you a great transition to something you love. 35 years ago I read a job hunting book called “What color is your parachute?” Premise of the book was to find out what makes you happy and then find someone to pay you to do it. Then you never work a day again. I am retired now but was fortunate to find my happiness job. Keep up the great content. Thanks for what you do.

Thank you Tony for opening up about KZbin and travel! I retired in 2020 from a major airline after 32 years, due to the pandemic. I wasn’t quite ready to retire, but the package was a good incentive. Just 6 months before that, I started an IA travel agency with a host company as a supplemental retirement plan, well we all know what happened shortly after, and even though I’ve felt like throwing in the towel many times, I’m still passionate about travel and cruising so I keep plugging on. Fortunately I’m not totally dependent on my travel income but I could really use more business. So I really want to boost it up, so that we can travel more. Your tips today have given me new HOPE!

I just felt that as you've gotten more professional, you have lost some genuinity (if this is even a word) along with it. Don't get me wrong, I still watch a lot of your videos, but your genuinity was the one that grabbed me in the first place. Let's cruise!

Great video, Tony!! I suspect it's hard to communicate the amount of "hustle" required to make TWO travel related businesses successful simultaneously, especially during a pandemic. In addition you to being an astute business manager, you also have to be a good "story teller". Not everyone could do that! I love your formula for success! 'Look at the work and improve one thing every day.'. That works for physicists, too, and I suspect just about everyone else!

I'm very late to this one, but I just wanted to register how refreshingly honest this was. I also appreciate your stance on freebies from the cruise companies - I can't be alone in being deeply suspicious of some of the channels in this niche who either under-declare these payments-in-kind or say the meaningless "yes, they've paid for me/us to be here but my opinions are my/our own". I would not be so uncharitable as to say that they don't believe this to be true, but neither can I be the only one to immediately lose trust in the rigour of that particular review. Oh, and while I'm on my hobby horse, well done also for actually bothering to do research - another pet peeve is the lazy trope amongst to many YT cruise channels to just say something like "I think I'm right about that, but maybe if you know better you could comment down below" as their default.

I'm so fortunate to have found you Tony! We're cruising in May to Alaska and it's our third cruise but I've learned SO MUCH from you and Jenny!

This is a great share with people . As a TA most people have no idea the background work there is behind bookings . It is a lot of “hard work” and it takes more time than many people realize. It’s great how you work as a team. Getting thru C19 has definitely been challenging for all agents working to protect their clients. It’s also exciting to see everyone who has rebooked to be back at sea 🚢 .
