It's kinda funny Piranha Plant is considered low tier. We went through that whole phase of "he's bottom tier," only for Brood to go absolutely ham, everyone called this character high-mid to high tier, and then he went all the way back to low tier. 0:54 was a very nice spike though

It's all about averages. For every hype on stage play you see Ganondorf do there's 4 more of him not even being able to get a move out against fox/pikachu or getting gimped at 20% by Jiggly.

It's because he's trash, a play with him gains more hype than another character would. If falcon did the exact same 3 reads to get a kill it would be mid. If Ganon does 3 reads for a kill, it's hype because Ganon bad. Falcon way better.

i think there was this one small pokemon youtuber who made a smash lower tiers discord recently, he titled the announcement video "What if Smash Ultimate had a UU tier" because pokemon terminology works better for his channel and it had like a cool ganondorf thumbnail with "FINALLY VIABLE??" on it. maybe check it out, seems cool and not too too casual
