This seems way better than having to pin up all of the individual storyboards up on to a wall, and having to point at them with a long stick like they used to. Especially since the people in the back of the room might have trouble seeing everything from far away. And this way, the animatic style is way more fun because it's almost like you're actually seeing what it will look like on the screen.

this scene doesn't end up in the final movie, i very recommend to read Ed Catmull's "Creativity,Inc" to have a close look behind the scene of how creative process is very organic, that's one of the reason why most Pixar's films always hit the perfect note.

This would have been cute to add into the movie!

cowsrock1q Yeah but it’s not what they actually wanted for the movie. They knew the annoying fans would point out that one quote in the original movie. But they cut it because they didn’t like it.

@joschavandeijk

+Devonte Billings Not at Pixar. StoryBoard Pro is really popular with tv animation. But studios like Pixar, Disney and DreamWorks have their feature film storyboards drawn in Photoshop. For pitching and editing story reels they use either their own in-house software or existing programs.

@@joschavandeijk And it's funny too, because they don't use Maya for animation, they use Pixar, but Pixar is very similar to Maya. just probably different layout and a couple of extra or even missing tools.

I agree. Unfortunately we getting these white guy jew names in these Pixar movies cause thats all the people that are hired there. They only allow their own kind. imagine if black women, or asian women were making cartoons we'd get better shit then talking monsters

@@kingkylie9655 stfu this movies are meant to have emotions and stories not only a black lgbt woman running around if the character is only minory and not a interesting character (example :birds of prey ) is not good , i am of favor of diverse put you have talked alot of shit about monsters Inc.
