If the first test shows greater than 2 , then if you get a reading of .5 on the secong. that does not mean you have .5. Doesn't it mean 2.5 ?

Sorry Rick. I studied this aparent inconsistency and have come to the conclusion that that is a mistake. When diluting the sample in half - 50% sample + 50% distilled water and you get the first colour you must multiply the original result (0.1) by 2, that is, the result is 0.2 mg/l. And the same with all other results in that dilution. When diluting to 20% - 20% sample + 80% distilled water - you must multiply the original result by 5. The thing is, SERA delivers those results directly on the chart and you don't need to multiply anything.

Informative! I am not getting a change in color, so am i having bellow 0.1 mg/L ?

Thanks for your comment Abf-Alkhater. Yes, well either that or the reagents are giving wrong readings as might happen if they got contaminated in some way, but I assume that would be something very unlikely.
