Today we are going to be talking about tearing holes in the fabric of reality and collapsing time.
Nope, it’s not sci-fi.
This is something you have access to. And easy access to.
Changing your reality and collapsing your own personal timeline.
So that you get to achieve what you want in your life and your music in a fraction of the time you think possible…
…by taking shortcuts that you’re sure can’t possibly exist!
As Mark Twain famously said:
“It ain’t what you don’t know that gets you into trouble. It’s what you know for sure that just ain’t so”.
So if you’re doubting what I say, then this podcast is especially for you.
Let’s tear open what you know for sure that just ain’t so.

It is a cohesive collection of songs used to tell a bigger theme or project an overall vibe. Think of an album as a book. And your songs as chapters. Every book has chapters. Every album has songs. Each chapter is different. Each song is different. But the collection of chapters (the collection of songs) is what tells the full story of the book (of the album).Storyline / Plot of your song Flow / Dynamics of the song Chord Progression Lyrical Progression Length and Counting Genre Storyline - The Plot Of Your Song Remember, composing a song is like writing a narrative story. You must consider how your lyrics would work and how it will tell the story of your composition to your listeners. Otherwise, your listeners will not get the meaning or emotion of your song. Flow Of The Song Since song structure plays a major role in expressing mood and emotion of the song, you must consider how your sequence will deliver the mood / emotion of your song, and that is called flow. The same with storytelling, the sequence of the song must not disrupt the flow of the song. The flow of the song must be smooth, even there are abrupt breaks within the song. Another thing to consider is the dynamics of the song. Dynamics is the highs and lows of the song in terms of its volume and intensity. Song structure also plays a big role in this. In choosing a pattern of sequence for your song, aim that the dynamics of the song doesn’t go with too many alternating highs or lows, or in musicians’ and instrumentalists’ term, wavy dynamics. The flow and the dynamics of the song come hand and hand with the structure of the song. Think of sequencing as writing a story, it would be odd if in the 1st chapter the characters are introduced, and in the next chapter, they are dead. For your listeners, it would be awkward to hear a soft song that transitions into a heavy fast-paced song. Singles are what attract your listeners, but an album is how you make them into fans. You have worked hard to create and produced every part of your story, so take the time to focus on the sequencing. Listeners will easily skip from one song to the next, you need to give your listeners a reason to stay for the whole story, and not to skip chapters. I'd say it's still telling a story with either version. That may have more to do length, because of radio requirements. And as far as the verses, I think an easy way to think about it is the first verse typically introduces the listener... it sets the scene with details. Since the 2nd verse normally happens after a 1st chorus, in a lot of ways it has more freedom or "permission" to take different turns. Now that vibe of the song has been really established (with a verse 1 and chorus 1), a verse 2 has the opportunity to talk about details that further the story, instead of introducing the story. Plenty of opinions about this stuff, but I like to try and keep things simple! While verses are incredibly versatile and diverse, here are some tips that might help you get started: Tell a story: As mentioned earlier, the verse is often where the narrative unfolds. For this reason, it’s a section where the lyrics often change entirely in the event that it’s repeated (as heard above). Use verses as a way to tell a story, especially for tracks where lyrics are involved. This is traditionally the repeated section of the song that follows the verse. The lyrics of the chorus usually contain the moral of the story or the reason behind the song. “This happened” is in the verse, “this is how I feel about it all” is in the chorus. The hook is traditionally part of the chorus, or at the very end. The role of the verse is used to tell a story, or ask questions, or paint images. Whatever is established in the verse will be addressed in the chorus. Think of it like a preacher on the pulpit in the verse, giving us the argument or the set-up for the moral that will be stated in the chorus. Or it could be word-painting where the verse establishes the images and the or chorus reflects on those images. If the song is a narrative, the verse establishes the characters involved, the scene, and what everyone wants. So what is this formula? Well, he believes that it's all about telling a story without the lyrics, telling the story. He calls it lyric-less storytelling, basically. And it's conveying story and feeling through the production, the arrangement, the elements of the song, the voices, the frequencies used, the mix. It's all conveying a story to you that is moving in such a way that grabs you and pulls you in. And it's addictive to listen to it's addictive to keep listening to, and that you don't turn it off. That’s what lyric less storytelling is Jonathan but would you agree on what lyric less storytelling is or is this article is true? And also in your own opinion what is lyric less storytelling and also why is album 💿 sequencing is a lost art 🖼? According to the addiction formula said that lyric less storytelling is that the art of expressing a story through music 🎼 and not necessarily through lyrics could that be true too?

Hi Keith, it would be nice to publish someday the whole bibliography where you got all of the inspiring quotes that you spread in the valued FMM program, so we could read the books full length in our spare time ! Or you might publish some podcast series where you'd review them ! I think « Peak » by Anders Ericsson/Robert Pool is one of them but i really wonder about the other ones ! Following your recommendations, i've just bought « Principles » by Ray Dalio right now !
