Glad to see you stuck with it!! Its so much fun and when things start to click its even more fun. Im jealous cause I have one day on the hill this season so far. Im in the midwest and it got really warm this week and it all melted. Keep at it and you'll master it soon enough.

You’re doing well for your third time man! You should try working on traversing across the slope(while checking uphill) on both edges to fine tune your edge control. When it really comes down to it, you very rarely want to be riding flat on your board. Practicing constantly engaging a slight edge is important for the next steps of riding. Also, work on bending at the knees along with keeping your lower body loose and “separated” from your upper body to help you deal with uneven terrain. It all comes with practice and time spent on your board, so just keep at it bro!

Thanks for the tips! Definitely need to work on edge control and turning with my front foot rather than back foot!

One thing that will help a lot is to make sure your bindings are in the correct place on the boot this effects the reactivity of the board like your toe binding should be where the point of your toes is not on the top part of the boot also invest in good bindings second hand is good and is a lot cheaper please also go slower I know it’s fun to go fast but without good control you can endanger not only yourself but others but keep it up

so do you think my bindings need to move forward? I will probably invest in better ones next year, (or if a company sends me some)

The big difference I notice is weight on your back foot

You should not ride with a stick in your hand. It is dangerous for you and for others. Not to be too harsh since it's your 3rd day and snowboarding is hard to learn but you don't seem to have any control whatsoever and you're not really turning, rather, you're pushing your legs out while not shifting your weight across the board. You don't drive with your front leg at all and your edge control is nonexistent. I'd suggest you to either grab a few lessons before you develop bad habits, which are hard to fix later, or go back to the basics like the falling leaf exercise or just straight zig-zagging down the hill with more proper edge control, first on your toes then on your heels. You catch edges a lot even in this video and that is purely because you have no idea how to be on your edge and how to use your front leg. You're gonna get hurt really bad if you keep up with however you're riding at the moment. And really, put your stick away. Let others film you but do not distract yourself from your riding. And keep shredding, you're gonna be having so much fun in no time if you clean up your basics first. Good luck friend!

I appreciate the tough critique, and I will try to focus more on some of these aspects. I cannot afford lessons since they’re over $100 per day and I just don’t have that money, but I’ll try to learn more about these basics online and practice
