I follow your channel as a way to study/trying to understand how youtube works. I consider creating my own channel for years but I still don't have the courage to do it, I don't know if I can handle the ever present haters and I also do not have a good relation with my own self image. I also feel like the chances of success and financial compensation in today's algorithm and state of things are very, very small. IMO it's absolutely crazy that you have a video that was an absolute hit and then after that your views never get near the view count on that one. It's kinda impossible to understand how youtube decide to make a video go viral and why it decides to not deliver the same amount impressions never again for a content creator. You have a very well produced channel but the numbers do not seem to back it up, but it feels like it's not your fault. At the same time, I see absolutely stupid content making millions of views every day. I feel like cost x benefit it's very small for most new content creators.

First off, thanks for following my channel and I appreciate the kind words and you sharing your pov :) Honestly, this is a very loaded topic so I am not sure I can address through a comment here haha but while it is still a bit of a black box, if you google, you'll find the info on how the algorithm works. I also have to say, while it might sound reaaally cliche, it really takes the passion to create to keep going. So, it all depends on the measuring stick you use. I hope you find the courage to give KZbin a shot if that is what you genuinely want!
