I like how Naruto’s story is the sort of success in his empathy in the sense that he was able to inspire change in his society. Whereas Yuji’s empathy is a constant struggle against a world that punishes that kind of thinking and rejects it but perseveres through that suffering to become an immovable force of good. Even if it’s futile, idealistic or naive Yuji will dedicate his body and soul to redemption till the very end even if he fails countless times. Naruto is a story of fighting till you win. JJK is a story of fighting through every loss. Yet on the surface they both embody the theme of never giving up on what you believe.

@@ConimonI disagree Naruto lost his godfather, sensei, and friend (nearly) and he’s also seen his homeland blown up around him. At the end of the Pain arc he still stood up to Nagato and he was willing to listen to him while trying to hold back his deep desire to kill him. Ik that Naruto needed Minato to get back on his feet but it’s just like how Yuji needed Todo to get him back on his feet against Mahito. I’d say they’re both around the same when it comes to willpower tbh.

Yuji’s story in a nutshell
@joecroft4274
@joecroft4274 Ай бұрын
I wish we got to see the change Yuji went through. Like what motivated him to change his mentality. We don’t get nearly as much of a detailed showing for why his mentality changed a second time. If anything what he went through should’ve further sent him into the cog mentality and we did see that for a while where he said he’ll consume anything to kill Sukuna. What we should’ve seen is Gojo tell Yuji about his parentage and relation to Sukuna, Yuji completely hollow goes back home to his house in Tokyo, maybe make it inside a colony and it’s wrecked from curses being around. He sees pictures of his dad and mum or something and just feels absolutely demoralised. As he sits there in the rubble he sees a picture of him as a kid in a village he used to live in. He picks it up to see his grandpa smiling as he pushes him on a swing or feeds him something. maybe make it a picture of Yuji only by you see Wasuke’s smiling face in the reflection of a mirror. Better yet make this entire thing be a picture book he found on the floor that Wasuke kept for Yuji when he was older. Have a note explaining the same things that Gojo said (minus the stuff about Sukuna’s heritage since he wouldn’t know that) but have an optimistic outlook where he highlights that despite his lineage to the most evil person ever, Yuji is not the blood he is connected to but the people that helped build him up. One last piece of advice for his grandson to truly show how much he loved him. That would imo, truly cement Yuji’s arc and demonstrate his growth.

True that’s why Naruto couldn’t guide kurama to his side until he cleaned himself first from the evil and hatred he had. And he wasn’t able to retrieve sasuke until he experienced something similar and went through the hatred it comes with. After you rule after yourself you should try helping others. That’s why sasuke said that he’s happy he exists in the same world as Naruto.

@@kawaki-san6052 That sasuke part is always so beautiful to me because it perfectly highlights a very modern problem. You can speak on something as much as you want but you will not be heard unless you have the same experience as the one you're talking to. Naruto fundimentally didn't change, his ideals remain the same throughout the story. However his overall lack of life experience prevents him from making any real change in the world and he is seen as a naive kid with a dream who doesn't know better. It's only after obtaining strength through loss, sacrifice and suffering that he is able to gain the recognition and credibility to have his opinion be valuable. I love the theme that "It is not thr words that are important but he who speaks the words that matters" It's so interesting.

Yuji's approach reminds me a bit of stoicism You cant Control the world, but you can control your reactions to it/yourself. One thing that i really love of jjk is how good gege is about mindset and the phylosophys of characters. Be it gojo, sukuna or yuji. That's probably why some people empathize and vibe more with characters like Kakashi and Sasuke, and Shikamaru to some degree. They are all larger than life as you kinda have to be in a battle shonen story, but they interact with the world and deal with their own problems in more realistic ways. Well, tbf, Naruto displays this excess of positivity and confidence because he had to be this way since childhood otherwise he would'be gone rogue or insane. He has a realistic reaction to Jiraiya's death, at first getting angry and lashing out at Tsunade, then getting nostalgic, then depressed, then regaining his motivation. And he has his worldview challenged and changed by Nagato. We see in the next arc how he has matured, and how he doesn't scream that he'll bring Sasuke back at any cost, instead trying to get through him by letting Sasuke himself express his feelings (throw all your hatred on me alone), because he now understands Sasuke's struggle better than he did before.

Naruto is a good character but he is able to change people, partially due to the fact that villains have a little bit of humanity, I like Yuji because the villains are pure evil, so he is able to be not so empathetic with them, the villains can also change his perspective. I think that JJK’s story is really good until it dragged out the ending. The setup of characters, build up of hype, and storytelling was nice. I really enjoyed it. I’m sure I’m not in the minority in saying it was good. Gojo, Yuji, Sukuna, Maki, Yuta, etc. were all extremely compelling. Its fights were creative and fun. And JJK isn’t afraid to be different and take risks in narrative. I think the ending reduced it’s quality and after chapter 236, it felt like a rush to the end. You’re of course welcome to your own opinion.

@ that actually isn’t true, since the beginning of shippuden if you actually bothered to watch or read, Sasuke is never mentioned on Naruto mind, Naruto only starts to focus on sasuke after finding out he became a criminal and ending Danzo Also like I said if you actually bothered to watch or read the series The reason why Naruto kept trying to change Sasuke is different If Naruto continue to let Sasuke go down a dark path that would lead to Naruto having to kill Sasuke and that’s bad because if Naruto kills Sasuke then not only does the cycle of hatred keep going but also the endless cycle of reincarnation will continue So it’s either Naruto gives up on Sasuke and lets the endless cycle of hatred continue, and the cycle of reincarnation continue or Naruto saves Sasuke and finally breaks the cycle for both, that’s like verbatim stated in the war arc but I guess you didn’t read or watch that did you? So no, unlike yuji or the rest Naruto quite literally has no choice but to pursue Sasuke and change him for the better

this is a great analysis of both naruto and yuji. i want to say that i partially disagree with what you interpret as the point of naruto. at least for me and towards the end of the story it started being about much more than just naruto's own ambitions for greatness and respect. it became about fixing a world that was so broken it caused one of the stongest ninjas to ever live to decide it would be better if everyone lived in a simulated reality instead of having to deal with the suffering and pain that the world breeds on a daily basis. it was about fixing a world so broken that it caused his best friend to be consumed by his rage and lost by the cycle of hatred that lead so many others astray in a similar fashion. the reason naruto connecting with these people works to me is because its a similar but also different type of empathy from yuji's. naruto understands where these people are coming from because they've been hurt just as badly if not worse by their broken world as he has. he can conncect with them because he's just as much of a victim of that cycle of hatred and pain as they are. but instead of losing himself in his rage and bitterness at a world that treated him like garbage and took away so much from him even from his birth, he chooses to show other people that living through revenge or trying to tear down the world will only lead to creating more people that are just as angry or in pain like them. naruto's ability to empathize but still have the courage to impose his will on people and do whatever it takes to lead them to a better path if he can is what makes him so special to me. the whole asura reincarnation/child of prophecy thing can be damned. the strength of naruto's character comes from the fact that he understands the broken world around him and has the will to impose changes on it so that it doesn’t end up making more people like sasuke, madara, nagato, and obito.
@LukewarmTakesYT

I think that Naruto fulfilled his need for greatness and respect after he beat Pain. I agree that before he became Hokage he had to understand what it meant to fix a world that is full of hatred. He had to earn the title by being empathetic to the most hateful person on the planet (at the time), Sasuke. Does anyone else recognize that a lot of the characters in Naruto have huge similarities to Naruto himself? Mostly those characters being outcasts, orphans, or being very weak in the beginning. Naruto would usually be drawn to that particular thing about that character which resonates with him the most and encourages that person to change, because he sees the similarities in that person and realizes he could have easily become like them, but that also means that person could have turned out like him. He usually goes back to “It was the people around me that helped shaped me into becoming what I am, so I’m not going to give up, and neither should you.” At least, that’s what I’ve picked up after 20 some years of watching Naruto. It got old fast because the same thing kept happening over and over again, but whatever, you know? Naruto is a classic. I really like how Yuji shows empathy to certain people at the right moment and doesn’t waste time to destroy them when the time comes. I like how Yuji is changed by his experiences and the people he meets along the way. Naruto, more or less, pretty much stays the same. It’s up to Sasuke if he wants to change. Naruto shouldn’t have been the one to force that. I never saw Naruto’s and Sasuke’s friendship as a healthy one. But Yuji at least gives people space.

You think so? Naruto really doesn’t seem to change much. He has his same dream from start to finish, he’s obsessed with Sasuke, to either beat him in a fight and or bring him back to the Leaf when he went rogue, and he pushes people to be better versions of themselves, all while still striving to become a the greatest ninja in his village. I mean, of course, he matures as he gets older, but he still keeps his core values and goals while being sympathetic and encouraging towards others. Yuji’s views changed about three times. He adapts his goals rather than sticking to one specific goal from start to finish. Or maybe I’m wrong. I don’t know.

In the first land of wave , naruto always want power just bcuz he want attention. But with haku his perspective change into knowing that power came from protecting others. And then naruto thought ninja were just cool and strong but then he realizes how corrupt the shinobi world is through zabusa's backstory and learn that shinobi are just tools. This is where his goal first change. His goal was to become hokage but that isnt his actual goal. The only reason he want to become hokage was to get respect. Now his goal changed into changing the system and so that bshinobi dont become tools anymore. Abd then his perspective change again after fighting neji. Neji boasted about no one being able to change fate but naruto learned that having a worse circumstance or a bad fate doesnt justify your actions and talked neji to just stop thinking about fate and just focus on present. And then with gaara, sasuke , kakuzu , pain until the end. He learned new things everytime and grow and gained a new perspective everytime.

I think the main take from this is that we as individuals need to find a balance between both mindsets. To change one’s self and improve to affect the world around us and adapt to its state of being. Living too idealistically will leave you disappointed with the reality, while living too pessimistically will zap you of motivation or purpose. That through that understanding of the world and its imperfections, are you able to reach out to those who feel lost and confused with helping hand and listening ear and say, “Let’s find our way together”.

I appreciate Naruto n Luffy a lot, cuz they are a much needed Social Hero, but as we Grow we Understand Ichigo more and Praise his choices. Yuji is much more depressed than Ichigo cuz of His empathic Nature, I feel like if Yuji had a Mentor like Ichigo he'll be a lot less sad with himself, cuz Ichigo got inner demons which aren't his enemies but he's just Devastated to accept them, while Yuji has one, so it'll be cool to see Ichigo handle that.

To me Yuji is more relatable than Naruto. But its difficult to compare Yuji to Naruto when Naruto had a whole lot of chapters and time to grow and change. If I only compare early Naruto to Yuji, they are just meant to teach different life lessons. Yuji at the beginning actually has no purpose until he swallows a finger. Naruto was already introduced with a set goal for validation by the villagers. Both teach the lesson that teamwork make the dream work and that a strong will wins over sheer power. Difficult to compare them other than this as their whole setup is very different. Like dont tell me you can compare Kurama to Sukuna... Not to mention, you dont see a Mahito like character in Naruto. One who just is pure unshakable evil because thats what is normal to them.

This is a crazy oversimplification of naruto. You’re acting like he’s this super stoic dude who has no character development and is set in stone from chapter 1, but he’s not. His ideology and motivations are heavily changed after confrontations vs haku, zabuza, gaara, sasuke, nagato. Most of the things you said about yuji apply to naruto, he also learns to be empathetic towards sasuke in part 2, his goal of becoming hokage also changes in deeper way multiple times

Yuji is to represent hope and humanity to Sukunas despair. Naruto was to show love and forgiveness in a corrupt and unforgiving world. Naruto was to show through dedication and hard work you can succeed in your dreams. Yuji was to show dedication and hard work wasn't everything. Naruto had no talent but worked hard whereas Yuji was naturally gifted and everythingcame easy to him. Naruto started out having nothing but gained everything while Yuji had everything at the beginning but also lost it all later on.

I have to say your analysis of Naruto is quite flawed. Naruto's idea of bringing back Sasuke itself changes over a period of time. In the beginning it was to bring back a friend and do the right thing as a Konoha Shinobi, neither of them had common understanding of each other. Overtime as their journey's continued and met a common point at the Five Kage Summit, Naruto had changed a lot, he understood why Sasuke did what he did and the state he was in and an understanding that their fight isn't about one side winning. It's either they both fight and take each other out or break the cycle to come to a common understanding. Naruto by that time started to have an understanding of the Cycle of Hatred of the ninja world after interacting with Pain and Tobi. Their journey's continued until they finally met again at the Valley of the end, both of them having grown further with solidified ideologies. Sasuke coming to the realisation that the Ninja world was heavily flawed and he would become to person to change it, taking all the hatred to himself, for that he would have to start with a clean slate, execute all the Gokage, erase the tailed beast... and kill his best friend, Naruto. That was essentially he becoming a neo-Madara, something Itachi warned Naruto against to not become arrogant due to his power and try to take it all on himself. Both of them had come to the understanding that they were destined to fight and continue the cycle but Naruto chose to not succumb to it and instead of "defeating" Sasuke, he goes on to save him. They fight because they are supposed to and thats what shinobi do, and come to understand the other one more by exchanging blows. Sasuke lost the fight and admitted defeat, because the philosophy of Indra had lost. This was just the Naruto vs Sasuke part and me trying to elaborate it, though I'm not the best at that stuff...
@LukewarmTakesYT
@LukewarmTakesYT Ай бұрын
The thing about the changes Naruto goes through, the end point philosophy is still the same. He still has the single minded goal of getting Sasuke back. The point about Sasuke was to contrast how Yuji handled things, which was with a more gentle and realistic approach of telling him he can let go. I agree Naruto does grow and mature in his philosophy, but his core philosophy never changes, he just learned more context for it.

I feel like you really under mine the amount of times Naruto is influenced by his enemies/others like during the pain fight Nagato tells Naruto to his face that he is wrong and hypocritical and Naruto accepts it and his point of view for the rest of the show changes. This is because while Naruto villains can relate to Naruto through his pain Naruto can also relate to them though their pain. I honestly believe Naruto has the best written villains in any anime because while things that they do are inherently evil they aren't always completely wrong they have motives that make sense and if you were in that situation feel like the only right course of action and because of that Naruto is completely changed throughout the series. At the beginning of Naruto being the hokage just meant that he would be out casted anymore but by the end it had and actual value he wanted to be hokage because of the promises he made to friend and his enemies because he wants peace but also realized that the world isn't one sided because he's learned from his friends and his enemies and truly understands the hearts of others. I felt like one of the main points to Naruto was the process of maturing learning that the world isn't all sunshine and rainbows and vandalizing hokage faces its about learning loss and that even though your one of the "good guys" your aren't always right and how unfair this world is. While Naruto suffered a lot there are people who had it worse than Naruto and his out look is constantly changed through the pain of others while others are also changes by his pain.

Naruto's world requires the world tp conform, for reality to take a backseat for ideology. whereas JJK's world requires ideology to conform to the world, ideology follows reality. One requires a common moment in everyone and for everyone to empathize in that core. The other one plays more realistic, there's no suspension of disbelief regarding ideals of different people interacting with childish notions. Yuji's character is forced to grow out of his ideals and grow into an adult. whereas Naruto still holds onto most if not all his childish ideals. In short, Naruto's Ideals cant exist, jjk's does exist and plays closest to reality.

Great video but there's one thing I think you're wrong about tho, in regards of Naruto wanting to be an Hogake. Yes it's true at the beginning Naruto had an ambition dreams due to his bad upbringing and loneliness thus he wanted to get a very ambitious dream of becoming an Hogake so he can get the respect from his peers. But you made it sound service level to be honest with you, because during in Shippuden, there's a meaning of wanting to be an Hogake and not just for the sake of power and status, instead it's about protecting of your love ones, responsibilities, sacrifices and all of that good stuff. And Naruto gets to finally learned through that overtime the more he's trying to get Sasuke back, because if he can't get him back then Naruto thinks he's not worth to be a Hogake since he can't bring back he's Sasuke-kun. During the war arc when Naruto gets to finally inherent the half power of the Nine Tails he coincidentally meet the reincarnated versions of Itachi and Yahiko, short cut from some few fights later Itachi told Naruto this piece of advice for him since Itachi made an mistake before thinking he can do and carry all the burden to himself but ended up failing since he did not expect his little brother ended up becoming an terrorist for a while. Qoute : "No matter how powerful you become, don't try to shoulder everything alone. If you do, you will surely fail." - Itachi And Naruto did follow that advice since he trusted the sinobi allied forces alongside with other team seven, even sharing the chakra of the nine tails for other alliances. All because Naruto wanted to have an ambition it doesn't mean it's necessary bad nor thus not giving up, hoping for the better despite the cycle of suffering, nor it isn't necessary bad either changing people's dangerous ideologies or worldviews by giving them an good old talk no jutsu. It's true Kishimoto don't have necessarily the answers when it comes to regards of real life political and philosophical problems since he's in Shonen Jump after all, the protagonist needs to win at the top somehow, and I remind you it's the early 2010s so there's not much shonen mangas that's deconstructed some tropes and writing something different with the author's unique build of writing, compare to now with Chainsaw Man and JJK, etc. This comment thus not mean Yuji's antithesis to Naruto is bad or wrong it's that both of them have their own ways dealing their circumstances and it's not fair to compare them for the fandom flexing what they like against what they don't like. I'm glad JJK is not some "Naruto 2.0" and Bleach is getting some love atleast from Gege. But you know what's fair to compare to Naruto?. *Monkey D. Luffy* Because both of them have very great ambitious dreams, both of them did something ridiculous and painful just to get their friends back like saving Robin or Sanji for example. And most importantly Luffy wants to become the King of the Pirates not for wealth, fame, and power but to be the freeiest person in the sea, and Naruto became an Hogake because he is the resolution of the shinobi world. Others have been an Hogake before but did some bad choices that end up leading them to their downfall like Garaa's dad being abusive, and Danzo being a shady political figure, heck you can even argue Hiruzen being on the list despite him not being malicious or evil as Danzo's. As for One Piece look at Gecko Moria, Doflamingo, and Big Mom, all of them are trying to become the King of the Pirates but end up also having a downfall due to their mistreatment, manipulation, abuse, and tyranny. If Yuji wants to chill and be content with his life then I'm happy for hin despite some evil bastards roaming around in the depressing world of JJK. But it's not bad either if the protagonists also want something greater and bigger than life, besides Oda and Kishimoto knows how to make them interesting. Even Itchigo who just wants to protect everyone he loves Tite still made something interesting for his character and struggles. Again I love your fair point video and I'm glad I found this analysis.

I wouldn't fully call Yuji and anyi Naruto like you said they are very similar people I mean Yuji talk no jutsu Junpei before he died and Naruto killed Momoshiki cause well Naruto knows that hes there to eat the world and move on so hes gotta go. What I do think is interesting though that in the end they save they're friends in the same way least in my eyes while Yuji sees megumi suffering and says that he wont tell megumi to live he does say he'll miss him and for Naruto the thing that hits Sasuke the most during they're end conversion is when Sasuke asks why Naruto keeps going after him and Naruto says that when he sees Sasuke in so much pain it hurts him too and I think in that moment for Sasuke and that moment for Megumi they both got assured that they were cared about that they weren't truly alone and that they loved ones left

Cruelty within suffering is one of the big themes of JJK's world. The world and the systems people have built put people in cruel, unfair situations, and those people have to endure in their beliefs or be warped to become cruel in turn. Spoilers incoming for the final chapter (not as if that matters now, given how late I'm commenting), but Sukuna admits in his final moments that he's just the same as everyone else, reproducing the cruelty he himself experienced and inflicting it onto others. He was treated with cruelty for being a freak of nature, and he responded with absolute, all-powerful cruelty in turn. Under all the philosophizing, he is a product of cruelty within suffering, and while he and Yuji could never coexist, he sees that perhaps it's worth trying out Yuji's way to live when he "goes north" with Uraume at the end. Sukuna doesn't go back on his beliefs or convert to Yuji's, and he may end up turning out the same way he was in life if he even gets another chance at all. It's just his "winner takes all" mentality, and since Yuji won the final clash, he must abide by his own standards and give himself over to the victor. It's just two people following their own paths, in the same direction, with it being unclear if they'll reach the same destination or not. I believe the most important difference between Yuji and Naruto is in how their empathy is depicted. Naruto's empathy is loud, theatrical, and almost histrionic. It's not this way in-universe, but it comes across as very performative at times, where Kishimoto needs to smash the fact Naruto's an empath over your head. Yuji's empathy is much more subtle. He's always paying attention to other people in big and small ways, and he doesn't indulge in big speeches much. It's him noticing stuff like how pretty Ozawa's handwriting is rather than superficial things like her weight, or how he catches himself talking over Junpei's suffering, apologizes, and opens the door for Junpei to tell him what happened. Yuji acts like a kind person, Naruto comes across as self-centered in a story that tries and only sometimes succeeds at selling you on his kindness. That's the difference between kindness and compassion. Kindness is to want the best for other people. Compassion is to want that, but to also be able to look beyond yourself, check your ego at the door, and put in the effort to truly know someone else and what they actually need, not what you want them to need.

It’s crazy to think that if Naruto had a domain expansion it would be like Yuji’s. When he ALREADY had it before Yuji was was even in the mind of Gege. Naruto usually talks to his foes normally but sometimes they enter a separate plain of existence where their emotions, memories, and thoughts are shared. That’s called ninshu. That thing when the two people are talking in a white bluish dimension like place. This sounds like a domain expansion. Just that the two people must make their chakra connect and mix together to work. And both of them should be somewhat of a skilled shinobi. Hell naruto doesn’t even just use it on enemies. He even used it on his own son in the boruto movie even. And boruto even learned it and did it back on Naruto in the time travel arc. Talk about a deadly technique 🗣️.

Jjk aproach is just real. Naruto is made to resemble a fan story of good overcomes evil. But jjk keeps it real. If we had cursed energy we would live in a world really really similiar to jjk. The reason why it is real is because there is no reason or gift or award for being good, and if you be too good you can f*ck up. Naruto villains are too sympathetic and jjk villains remind me of real life, like attack of titan. The whole point of those two stories is racism towards eldians and curses and when one side overpowers the other in search of maybe revenge or fear or just fun in commiting meaningless atrocious bullying just cause you can, which is the ideology of sukuna. One not so fun fact is that (meaningless) bullying is actually awarded in our world cause most people get dopamine or get happy doing it, most likely because of our instincts to assert dominance over each other in a greater chance of everything. Thats why unfortunately jjk is more real than naruto

One of the big difference i see in both that i didnt saw untill i rewached jjk and watched naruto, its that 1 is executed perfectly explaining everything we had to know in a shirt time, while the other is also magestic but it was executed terribly, not like one piece but still, the amount of time wasted seemed like it was way shorter than an anime with just 270 chapters while naruto had 700 chapters. When i finished jjk i was happy cause everything was answeared, the fact gojo didnt heal himself was because he was tired of life and wanted to loose the battle agaisnt sukuna more than anything else since he was just a tool since he became the strongest and had to kill his best friend none other than his rival, just like if naruto had to kill sasuke, he would stop on getting stronger, the whole point when he trains is to bring sasuke back(even tough he should be a thousands times stronger than sasuke but kishimoto likes sasuke too much to the point that the drugs he got kept on making sasuke stronger and to the point naruto lost his 6 sage power while sasuke kept his rinnegan, very fair). Gojo in the end was egoistic, yeah, he had to fight alone but thats because his power is too strong, it doesnt matter who is his ally, it would be a weight for him, but also for sukuna, since theyre domains cant be controlled. Like you said naruto was way too focused on sasuke, but thats becaue like for gaara he knew they were good, so that means that they became evil, they werent born like that, for yuji instead, he lives in a world were if youre evil, youre evil, and he understood that just because of what happened to junpei, in fact unlike naruto, yuji experienced the death of many people, from friends to teachers to strangers, naruto never saw that, the only person he saw dieing was neji, jiraya just dissapeard from his life, he never saw him die and obito, he didnt care about obito(leaving the fact that obito preffered to awaken the ability of using the sharingan to kakashi and then remove it instead of giving his eyes, something that in jjk they give and never take back). In the end the 2 worlds are totally different, in naruto we have a AoT type of world, theyre all the same but they hate the others for stupid reasons, the other is just evil that walks trough the world, just like for demon slayer but the biggest difference is chakra, like hogoroma said chakra unites people since chakra gets to youre head it can make you feel the others pain, in the war in fact all of the shinobi felt all of narutos pain and thats how they understood eachother because they also had a rough life, but like you said for jjk they never had it rough, like sukuna ate his twin while being in the womb, not even all for one did that. I still find funny how jjk had 1 protagonist and he died while naruto had multiple protagonists, in naruto we have hagoromo, his sons, hashirama(that was the cause of the creation of the villages), jiraya(the creator of pain, and the sensei of minato and naruto), minato, kakashi(the reason obito destroyed narutos life since he wasnt able to save him it lead to madara wanting to kill rin and make obitos the new madars) and finally naruto, the one that ended that cycle, instead in jjk the mc was gojo, and he died, like im not trying to glaze him but he was the cause of everything, his the cause sukuna acted like that and took over megumi, his the cause geto died and his body was taken, his the reason the shibuya incident happened, and his the reason curses like jogo ecc became allys, his also the reason both yuta and yuji are alive and him entrusting into them to let him die in that fight and not follow his steps, like he was already telling them he wanted to die in that fight, he was fighting just because he was told, unlike sukuna he had no motivation in winning, thats why sukuna was desperate and screaming in fear while gojo was joking around.

Both stories are a classic and give important life lessons. With JJK I always wonder what would Naruto do if he never becomes Hokage? Stoic philosophy usually about it great to have a goal but it shouldn’t be only way to be happy. In Naruto case he achieved his goal in the end of Pain arc being respected and admire by his people being a hero given them hope however I just wish the story explored Naruto gaining more leadership skills in the war arc or a jonin arc to prove he is worthy to be Hokage. While it okay to redeem villains but sometimes they are just terrible people that needs to be put down looking at JJk villains case.

Yea it was poor Naruto is easy to understand if you watched the series. He wanted to be hokage because he wanted to be respected that's it he didn't want the other stuff that came with being hokage. naruto got his dream after beating pain the villagers respect but he didn't know that he thought only be being hokage his dream would come true. Itachi had to speak some truth Naruto was wrong in his thinking about who the hokage was. He thought just being hokage was enough but Itachi saying you have to earn the villagers respect to be hokage. I wish people understood his dream wasn't to be hokage but be respected with being hokage in his eyes the most respected person in the village.

I think u're gettin a massive part of naruto kinda wrong. In the start naruto wants to drag sasuke back since he simply didn't understand sasuke. He changes that by the time of the summit & now simply wants to help his friend not be alone. Megumi sounds like he jus wants to die but sasuke has a goal he's still strivin for. His method was simply too one-sided & needed to be balanced out which is where naruto comes in & sasuke is eventually convinced workin together in their own way would be best since ultimately they & most of the other antags wanted the same thing but strove to achieve it in diff ways. yin & yang. Yuji & fushiguro don't seem anythin like that. They both have their own unique reasons to have the same occupation(kill curses). Naruto has the characters go through a journey of great uncertainty & pessimism over if such a lofty thing can be achieved but ultimately lands on "yes". JJK seems to slam such a question to the ground before it even had a sec to breath cus it's not the focus of that story(afaIk). Naruto wants to help the ninja world but if he can't even help 1 friend wut good would he be at that. Yuji has nothin like that & so while lettin a teammate go hurts megumi isn't the catalyst or representation for some bigger thing. It jus doesn't fit. Naruto doesn't really "change" others but is changed by them. Wut naruto gets them to be is who they used to be/alr R deep down. The biggest examples R Pain & Obito. They wanted naruto to prove wut they were before truly was worthwhile & put faith in him in the end even if uncertainty still exists in their heart.

Not saying jjk is bad, just that it’s fight scenes shine in terms of both dialogue and choreography for the most part, as well as showing the traits and goals of characters without stating them outright. It’s great in my opinion.

More like jjk is a more realistic approach to life. Actions have consequences. Heroes don't always win. There's a reason why some like Yuji and Nanami never make it in the Jujutsu world. Both are selfless with hearts of gold that get too caught up in saving people. While people like Mei Mei who are selfish survive.

I think the reason people have been so unreceptive to JJK following it's ending has just been... Idk, maybe this was the wrong time for this kind of story, no matter how good it is. The world is on the precipice of becoming completely unlivable for no good reason other than greed and stubbornness, and we have the ability to avoid that reality if we could change the minds of less than 5% of the world's population. JJK was a story well told based on your reading, but... I don't wanna hear somebody tell me "It is what it is, and that's okay." I want the world to not end.

To be honest naruto's talk no jutsu got boring and unrealistic after being done successfully for several villains.. it is incomprehensible for villains who endured much more suffering, at least twice as much and as long as Naruto such as pain changed his way after a few talks Yuji's approach is much more relatable and realistic since, more often than not you will not be able to make villains with such convictions waver

@robxholicfoxyfan8552
@robxholicfoxyfan8552 Ай бұрын
I think Yuji's isn't pessimistic. It is realistic. Yuji does have the ability of Talk no Jutsu so he's still semi optimistic. But he also is molded by his world to at least acknowledge not everyone is meant to be saved. He doesn't have a low willpower or need to succeed, he did start with a hero complex. But he's also able by the end to accept that he's not meant to be anyone exceptional, but does matter to people just like people matter to him. So Yuji understands being equal to others. Naruto meanwhile is driven to succeed and have lofty goals, and learns about the cruelty of his world which makes being the leader of his village even more important. Every sad backstory and empathetic moment help Naruto strengthen his resolve to change the world and make the cruelty fade away, even if he can't be perfect with wiping out cruelty he's gonna do what he can, even if he also can't be perfect in his own right to help his own family. Ideals can only go so far, but it's up to the individual on how to pursue these ideals or how they mold them into new ones more suited for their environment.

I’d say the difference between Yuji and Naruto is pragmatism. Despite living in 2 extremely cruel worlds, Naruto puts a focus on how people can change and there’s a broken child in all of us that needs healing. It’s empathetic for sure but inarguably naive. Yuji’s story is getting that naivety beaten out of him and him learning to cope with that without becoming sociopathic as a response. He can’t change people that flat out don’t want to, he can’t understand people who are fundamentally different to him, he can offer kindness but people aren’t going to always take it. It’s essentially the pragmatic and grounded answer to the Sasuke dilemma, why go so far for someone who has only treated you like shit a majority of your lives and shows literally no willingness to change, you offer a hand, but when it’s rejected you did what you could. It’s something I connect more with than Naruto’s blind idealism.
@robxholicfoxyfan8552
@robxholicfoxyfan8552 Ай бұрын
@@thecod2345 Honestly that is a fair point. Yuji is pragmatic, which I can count is pretty realistic to the hellish and unflinching world Yuji is in. He's only able to go so far before he realizes someone is too far gone. I think he would have a better time reaching Geto in the early stages of his spiral if he was there, but most of the foes in JJK really do spit in the face of changing for the better. Sadly, we can see humanity in the curses like how Dagon exclaimed that the curses have names, and how Hanami is pragmatic with the effects humanity has on nature. And how Jogo is more of the proctective brother type. Mahito really was the only curse of the group to have zero moral integrity. Even Ko-Guy is extremely insecure about his intelligence due to how a "bug" is a way of degrading someone for instance. They may be on an unchanging side, but they have a few traits of mercy towards their own. But like Mahito is to Curses, Sukuna is to humans. Unfeeling, literally incapable of empathy, deriving everything out of their own pleasure. It is truly a messed up world. Honestly I think Naruto would have possibly snapped early on in JJK's plotline. The only ones naruto had lost were Jiraiya and Neji (though there were a few closer calls of many characters.) To say Naruto didn't at least get a support system or severe Plot Armor early enough on is kinda bull. Literally one decently lengthy use of Sukuna over Naruto's body would probably lead to a mental break. Assuming of course Naruto doesn't continue to try over and over in JJK, the world who would take clear advantage of naivety before Naruto could say "This is my Nindo, my ninja way," or even "Believe it."
@thecod2345
@thecod2345 Ай бұрын
@@robxholicfoxyfan8552 Oh yeah, Naruto would’ve been mentally completely broken by the world of sorcerers and curses. Naruto fundamentally can’t understand actual cruelty. To be honest one of the only people who wouldn’t mentally break in jjk’s world is probably Kakashi considering he’s the only one who consistently experiences the worst of the ninja world. I mean the mission where obito died was a completely normal one during wartime. But Naruto? He doesn’t understand much but insisting on his way until he gets it. There’s very few times in the series where he gets a flat out reality check and even when people try to, the series often plays it off as they just don’t understand him. It also illustrates just how differently jjk utilizes the gifts of the protagonist. Yuji is an actual genius of jujutsu and beyond physically gifted but the reason he almost never feels like he has plot armor like Naruto is because Naruto’s gifts are constantly used to bail him out of situations he would never be able to survive otherwise and often times by sheer brute force. Yuji’s on the other hand are just to make sure he can actually somewhat keep up with threats while the plot takes no pity on him. The plot will hurt him in ways the punches could never with his inherent gifts being the only reason he can keep up in the fights.
@robxholicfoxyfan8552

@@thecod2345 Yeah! Yes, exactly that. Kurama is more of a crutch even on his least agreeable times. MEanwhile Sukuna actively hinders Yuji aside from the passive buff of soul understanding but that's literally not even something Sukuna would have cared to give Yuji so it's not really a gift and moreso literally the only plot armor Yuji gets (besides the false memory thing which I think was a peak into his domain now more than anything) so he doesn't get one tapped by Mahito. But everything else Yuji does or gets is from genius, actual help from other sorcorers, and actually getting smacked around with pretty much no breaks to process anything.

Plus Naruto wouldn’t have goal in JJK they made it clear being a jujutsu sorcerer sucks and death is a constant deadly thing when fighting curses. The only reality check that Naruto face that comes to mind was the pain speech that Naruto admits that he don’t know how to make peace. It better for Naruto adapt to the world in JJK because fighting curse spirits and evil sorcerers is a different beast than fighting with people with tragic back story.
