What if Loki's devil fruit was based on a giant from Norse mythology? Given his obsession with being labelled "The Sun God" he could possess a devil fruit power based on either Surtr (a fire giant which causes Ragnarok(destruction)) or Ymir (being one of the first giants, thus being exclusive to the royal family with the ability to manipulate snow/ice) due to the malicious nature of ice giants in Norse mythology.

@@moresomoze fire based fruits or fruits that allows the user to use fire in some kind of way are way more based on numbers yamato, brook, monet, kuzan, nusjuro are 5 then we have those who i can think just at the top of my head: oven, ace/sabo, kaido, momonosuke, akainu, big mom, kanjuro, katakuri (grilled mochi), doffy (overheat), luffy (red hawk/red roc), marco (its still flame based but unique in its own way), mr5 (explosions can create fire), gladius (explosions can create fire), vasco shot, trebol's ignitable DF can totally be used offensively as he demonstrated during dressrosa arc, black maria, caesar's abilities are flamable, then we also have non DF abilities, weapons, genetics etc that allow people to utilize fire like shanks gryphon, sanji's jambe, kinemon's sword style, queen's ponytail imbued with fire, lucci (flamed finger pistol), raizo can use fire too to a quite significant extend, lunarians, pearl from east blue was able to use blue flames, usopp has flamed attacks fire is utterly overused in one piece... i bet you re a child

Netsu, maru, magu, Marco and kaido and Luffy are legendary zoans that have extensive lists of abilities and being able to create fire from adapting those abilities is a stretch of the definition. By your logic greenbull would be a fire based devil fruit given he could rub two sticks together until they ignited. Canonically there are three. And those three are separate adaptations of heat. magma, fire and heat while all being hot are distinctly unique from one another, whereas having two major antagonists who can create ice no separate variations of the ability to make one cold, just straight up ice, would in fact be really lame. Especially given both of those antagonists would need to be conquered in the dwindling story left to be told. The over emphasis on mythology has gotten really out of hand lately since the kaido fight. Even in Norse mythology, Loki is not Ymir. Randomly attributing op lokis df power to an entirely different entity in real Norse mythology is kind of dumb don't you think? It doesn't make much sense to go the lengths of adapting one piece to a mythological story all just to completely change the character to en entirely different one just because. Also last point, the strongest fruit of the giants race of elbaf probably wouldn't be the same as a fruit that isn't even close to the strongest of the rest of the one piece world. Why would a mid tier logia be the most coveted fruit of the giants? Even if it was a mythical zoan that had ice manipulation as a foundation, it wouldn't be all that great, and definitely not worth infinitely locking a giant up in perpetuity out of fear of what his power can do to the entire world... So tldr; another ice fruit would be pretty lame.

So I say Loki only wanted to marry Lola because if he is married and his older brother isn’t then he could argue his place of the throne and he heard about what big mom did when he was born. This ends up being Loki wanting to marry Lola to get Big Mom’s powers as well as becoming the next king to get the devil fruit. Although just because he is married doesn’t mean his father will step down so he told Lola how he planned to marry her and kill their parents so they can claim full control of both Elbaph and the Big Mom pirates. Lola though is loyal to her family and loves her family so she denied him, which led to him to then be risky in killing his father and trying to escape with the devil fruit as they said it took all the giants to stop him from Escaping. It would explain why Lola wouldn’t marry him after trying to marry everyone, it explains why Loki killed his father further, and it explains why Loki chose Lola and that’s because he saw how desperate she was to get married.
